    Morning

LL - Aaaah enjoy your new kitty :D
NPM - Glad you've got something to try, hope it goes well x
Bitsy - I use Stoneground wholemeal flour 3/4 and 1/4 white 450g in total, 1 sachet of yeast, 25g of butter, 2 tsp of salt.

Rain, rain go away....so no washing line for me today.
Have 1 paid for ironing to do, DD2 going to a party so will make herself sick on sweets and chocolate, DD1 going to MIL and having T there , So only need to cook for me DH and DS we're having the chilli that i made y'day that was going to be frozen.

House is the usual tip so will try to [STRIKE]ignore it[/STRIKE] tidy as a i go.

    Have lovely days xx

Bitsy, why not give him a wind up torch - doesn't need batteries and you can get them quite cheaply now - little ones are often keyrings.

Tried to have a lie in this morning, but OH just turned over and snored again, despite me asking him last night. So ended up with the kids watching them play Indiana Jones Wii!! He is still trying to sleep on the sofa. Pile of ironing to be done here today and got the gammon out of the freezer to cook today too. Will try to make rolls for the children to have with their packed lunches next week. Have bits of drying / washing to finish and hoovering to do. Neighbours will be taking dog number 2 again for a few hours today, hopefully they'll take her full time soon. She's only 18 months and with DS1s behaviour we can't keep her - we need a bomb proof dog, which is dog 1. Such a shame as I'd love to have three or four dogs - not sure about the cost though !!! :)

Right - better get on as have to go to the market to get cheap fruit and veg today too. Hugs to those in need and sending vibes to the japanese.

NPM - were you the remarkably composed lady I heard on Radio 2 when they were talking about SEN? I was in awe of her.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Bitsy - wholemeal generally needs a bit more water than white, not got my panny booklet to hand, but will have a look later, as I'll end up distracted and will be late for work lol! And great news about ds, sounds like you've found the right combination of what works for him (wii games) and you (slowly moving down the stairs!) xx

JG - fantastic weight loss, congrats hun! And summer will be here soon, so salads and lighter meals look a lot more appealing, oh and all the lovely ratatouille's and tomato based dishes! xx

NPM - glad you've caught up on some sleep, hope Noah has enjoyed himself and there are no meltdowns tonight - mine are usually exhaused by Sunday eve when they've been to their dads, and blooming grumpy, think I may start making choc muffins to welcome them home next time as a distraction technique! xx

LL - the kitty was obviously destined to live with you, hope it doesn't become a chicken thief like mine, or yowl like one of our others all night - new habit and v v irritating! Pics please xx

mummysaver..yes we have that prob here..he is always really grumpy when he gets back from his dads on a Sunday:cool:

DH wasnt too enthusiastic about the chickpea and spinach curry:p ;) so am now making mince and sausage meat plait a la DD&D with mash, tenderstem broccoli (sp) and gravy..will be easier for me I guess as DS would need mash with something.

Good morning chums ,bright sunshine woke me early this morning and I have been decluttering my study (managed to get two in-trays cleared) so I am a happy bunny today.Must be something enervating about sunshine that makes you want to have a good clear out.I am just off to have some brekkie and a shower and whilst listening to The Archers and waiting for my DD to arrive for coffee I shall be decluttering two of my 'junk 'drawers in the kitchen You know the sort where you just chuck things in to look at later and forget all about them I think every home has a couple of those .have a good day everyone whatever you are doing .
    Cheers JackieO xx

Just decluttered over 10,000 messages from my hotmail account  I rarely use it now, as it was compromised last year, but thought I would give it a go, after someone told me a few weeks ago on Facebook that the new hotmail was a lot easier to delete with. Took me about twenty minutes to sort , unsubscribe to mailing lists and delete :D

Oh, also meant to say, OH made Curry Queen's naan bread for him and the boys last night, and it turned out beautifully. Well recommended :)

    Good Morning All

JackieG - well done, I am jealous, the scales are going the other way for me at the moment!

Looks like another nice day here. Yesterday was lovely but spent most of it dozing after working Friday night. Am having a slow start today but luckily OH is making up for it, he is hoovering upstairs at the moment.

Have MIL's birthday lunch today :o, neither kids are coming, DS has his best friends birthday party and DD has a rehearsal for her GSCE Drama presentation. Not looking forward to it at all but will smile politely and ignore any comments.

Plus side is that I don't need to cook for OH & myself, however the kids will need something - probably something easy with pasta.

Missed loads of the news about Japan yesterday - have caught some this morning - it looks terrifying :( thoughts are with everyone there.

    Morning OSers!

    Morning all

It is a beautifully sunny day here :D I'm so pleased cos today we are going for an early birthday lunch for me to the tallest building in Wales (just hoping the vertigo doesn't kick in!), it apparently has the most fantastic views over Swansea city and the coast! I can't wait! It was pouring down last night so was a tad worried it might be today. It's an early birthday lunch as my friend from Bristol can't make it back next weekend for my birthday meal.

I'm feeling much better today :) cheek is still a tad swollen but it's barely noticable now. I slept ok too.

OS wise - should put wash on as weather is so good but have nothing to wash :rotfl:. DW will go on in a mo. Need to put BM on as have said I would all week and haven't done it :o used last bit of bread from freezer today so it's needed now.

Other plans - sort out diary for work tomorrow. Boss has told me to take monday off too but I'm bored and wanna go back (I miss my kids!) so I'll do a test drive in the car later and provided I'm ok I'll be back in tomorrow.

    Have a good day all

    Morning All,

Bitsy sounds like a good plan with your DS. We went through something similar with our DD a long time ago. You will get there
    LL- aww a new !!!!! cat enjoy:D
NMP - so glad you have had a relaxing wk end and recharged your batteries
JackieG- well done on your weight loss, I too am very focused at the min. I haven't cut bread out completely though but am going to stop eating it from today. Only thing is I don't know what to eat for breakfast, any ideas?? I seem to have all my other meals sorted, I have changed to sweeteners in my tea and cut right down on carbs, even stopped drinking alcohol. I have lost about 5lbs but its not coming off as quickly as yours, what kind of things are you eating??

Managed to get through 2 meals out without too much damage to my weight loss. Today DD and BF and DGS are coming for tea doing roast lamb but I will have sweet potato instead of mash and veggies. Also making a chocolate orange fudge cake which doesn't tempt me at all I will have jelly and yoghurt instead.

TOTM at the minute so pleased I have managed to stay on the straight and narrow cos this is normally when my sweet tooth kicks in.

Damp and overcast here so washing on the maiden. Have a good Sunday all J x
