Umming and Ahhring whether to post as feeling sad and dont want to bring you all down. I should be feeling really happy as all my money problems are effectively sorted. How I dreamed of this day and yet I miss my Midwifery more than words can say. Im also really tired and fed up as my transfusion did not happen as I have some awkward antibodies that they cant match up :eek::eek: Has to go off to the regional centres to be matched. God help me if I need blood quickly.
There are nice plans on the horizon though. We booked a Center Parcs break for the kids and I am going to have a wet room installed as having a shower is currently a dreaded upheaval. But that's the future and today has to be got though first. The news in japan is dreadful and very close to my heart as I had a wonderful week there a few years ago (before i got really ill) with Kids Dad as he was working away. So really that puts all my issues into perspective!
OS has been minimal. We have given the kids deadlines today though to complete their bedrooms and clean the pigs out. All apart from DS1 who is AWOL and his bedroom is the worst. Thinking I might black bin bag the lot :mad::mad:. Im on a decluttering bid in my bedroom but have just had to rest up as very short of breath, hence this post!
Waiting for a Tesco shop to be delivered but again not very OS. I need to get my interest back for food and cooking. I read about the lovely food you guys are cooking, copy it, print it out and feel inspired. Yet when it comes to actually doing it my energy levels are so low and my family dont appreciate it. I might just start doing it anyway and they can lump it!
Sorry to be on a downer. Hugs to you all xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Just make it for yourself and their dad, and leave them to eat toast and cheese, Molly, they are all big enough to fend for themselves. Binbag is also a great idea. Hope you get your transfusion quicker, and like I said to Flutterby yesterday, if you can't moan to your friends, its a sad day - we've all had our turn at offloading on here recently, and all been on the receiving end of lots of love and hugs, you're no different. {{hugs}}xIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Morning All
Redruby - you should report her, no-one should be treated like that and she certainly doesn't sound as if she should be in the company of young people, especially your DD. Hope DD hasn't been put off by the whole experience. At least she will know the worst!!
JackieG - Fantastic weight loss! Hope you manage to stick with it, you sound a lot chirpier.
Molly - Hugs to you.
NPM - Bet you feel loads better after that sleep. Hope the trial goes well for Noah.
Not much going on here, got up about 7, fed the hens, made tea and went back to bed! Read for a while and then nodded off again. Just had some breakfast and will shower soon.
Off to friends this afternoon to watch Scotland lose at the rugby again! Should be a good laugh and chance to catch up with some folk I haven't seen for a while.
Chicken to roast tonight for tea but apart from that not much OS.
Take care all and enjoy your Sundays. XX0 -
Morning all! Enjoyed a lie in for the first time for ages, lovely. Up at half 9 and two loads of washing done already! Off to the Chinese buffet today with my parents, it's DELICIOUS so can't wait. Then Asda for pack up stuff, and Sports shop for new PE trainers for daughter. Raining here so won't get out in the garden again as hoped, got a fair bit done yesterday though.
Enjoy your day everyone!0 -
Good morning to all, grey but dry here so have got some washing out .Daughters eye is settling down a bit now she has different antibiotics, it doesn't look quite so red or swollen thanks to all who asked after her. DS1 and 2 are redesigning the back garden:eek:.ATM its grass with a shed ,path and washing lines .Thats all so they want to plant stuff to make it look pretty for me when I sit out there in the summer. They are designing it on paper atm and from what I have seen there will be a deck and lots of flowerbeds .They have coloured the fencing and shed green in the plan so presuming thay will be changing colour as well. Goodness knows when they will have the time to do this .
Anyhow dinner will be Roast beef, yorkies , roast pots and veggies with a ruhbarb crumble and custard for afters:) Beef smells delish.
Hope all are well ( havent read the thread through yet) hugs for all.
Enjoy the rest of your Sundays

No sugar?Yes it does a 16 yr old should be on something like £3.64 ph, I have 1/2 mind to report the witch
No half mind about it. Surely she's breaking the law if she's not paying min wage to those aged 16 and over. Hugs for your DD xxx
Molly - lovey if you can moan to us then who can you? xx I assume that your health problems would prevent you from being a doula? I think you'd be fab as one of those. I can't imagine how hard it must be giving up a job you love xxx
Thanks for all the bread recipes, will have a play if I get chance later

Molly...sorry you are feeling so down:(
What sort of a hospital is it:cool:....it doesnt take that long to get blood sorted at a regional centre, a day or two at most.
As for not being midwife anymore.....console yourself with the fact the job has changed beyond belief and the NHS is not a good place to work anymore, not like the good old days:o
I hate where I work, it is all politics, budgets and staff shortages...and I work with a load of cows. I cant wait to get debts cleared and leave in a couple of years:T
Could you not set yourself up as a Doula or some people have a maternity nurse privately after they go home with their baby for help? i am not sure how debilitating your illness is so apologies if that is not a possibility0 -
Off and out early as is our usual Sunday routine.
Church and then a Garden Centre visit. Bought onion sets, red onion sets and melon seeds. DH is in the garden preparing the soil and planting seeds, etc.
Today we are having roast chicken and boiled pork loin, with roast potatoes, stuffing balls, roasted ratatouille and carrots for the 7 of us. Needs to be ready after DGS's match - which ties in nicely with the end of the rugby on the box. So I shall be chief cook and bottle washer as well as minding little man and middle man:)
DD and SIL will watch DGS1 and DH will watch the box:)
No chance of a WM load today as it is wet, wet, wet! Pretty much up to date just visitors' bathsheets to do and they need it to be fine for the line.
Redruby what a horrid experience for your DD. Hugs to her. My DD2 had a similar experience in a pizza place some years ago.
Molly - Hugs to you. Glad you've got something good to look forward to on the horizon:)
NPM - glad you had a night's sleep and hope the new approach will be helpful.
Hugs to all who want or need them,
Happy Sunday all, Cheers m'dears, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Got Salem (the new kitty cat) home almost an hour ago. He came out of his carry box, scarfed his dinner down, had a little explore and then onto my lap for a cuddle, purring away!!
Think he's gonna like his new home.
The poor little chap ( well actually he's huuuge) must be so glad to finally be able to stretch his legs after being in that little cage all weekend. He didn't even have a litter tray in with him, so sadly he had to pee in the crate and now his back legs are sodden and stinky with pee :-(
will try and give him a little wipe down later, but right now he's having a little snooze behind the chair, so I'll just leave him alone to settle in.
Going to bake some more bread this afternoon as the loaf I baked last week and sliced for the freezer, all froze completely stuck together so I had to let the whole thing defrost and will have to eat it up quickly. Next time i will freeze in bags of two slices so it doesn't happen again.
Hope everybody is having an enjoyable Sunday and big hugs and kitty purrs :-) to all that need them.0
