I've been having a nightmare with ipoints since august of last year. All together (in new ipoints money) they owe me over 45,000 points. They hardly reply to tickets and when they do all they say is we will look into it, it might take a week or so. I've emailed just about everyone now.

Probably a really silly question, but when I navigate to 'spend ipoints' I get a category selection, which then goes through to 'popular choices' within each category. How do i search and/or find a complete list of items to buy, rather than the popular choices, or is that all?

is there a list of redemptions by cost, because you can get some good spends from ipoints that are good value for the points and others are rubbish.

OK, I've signed up for ipoints, Pigsback and Quidco after getting info on here about them.

Any other similar sites I can use to try and save up for some goodies for Christmas?

Now that the dear Stuart Roome has left, how about trying some of the other employees:

    Hi,

I've just noticed this thread (and it inspired me to sign up). Thought I'd confirm what you no doubt suspect, I left ipoints over 18 months ago. I've no idea who is now dealing with emails to the above address, but it probably goes to whoever is currently working on customer services.

After leaving I stopped collecting ipoints, except for polls and surveys. I returned to the site after the recent revaluation and was pleasantly surprised to find I actually had a fair number, so thought I'd see how redemptions were going. I ordered a £50 voucher from Sendit and a computer game. The game arrived within 5 days, but there was no word on the Sendit voucher. After 14 days I opened a ticket, then today found this thread, indicating that you have to actually sign up to Sendit, and sure enough I already have the credit there. This should be made clear on their website, IMO, but the timing of the rewards has been good.

I have it in mind to put together a detailed letter to ipoints listing the things I think they can do to restore confidence and present a top-quality service. Given that I used to work there, I hope they should at least be able to hear me out, so aside from better communication about rewards and realistic timescales on points earned, what else would people like to see?

I think just those two points really, but there timescales are way skewed, since the end of last year it takes me about 4 months plus to get points added!

    Hi Matt,

I think the whole system of submitting tickets needs to be overhauled, for example sometimes it takes several days for a submitted ticket to be read, you can tell this from the status which on several occasions has sat at 'queued' for several days for some of mine. This is unacceptable and doesn't exactly expire confidence!

I also think as a courtesy, members should receive an email whenever their ticket is updated rather than the onus being on the member to check back every day.

Lastly, I am annoyed that tickets are frequently closed off after being updated even though the issue remains outstanding. I suspect this has something to do with hitting targets as to re-open the ticket you need to submit another comment and it then returns to the status of 'queued' where it sits again, sometimes for several days and is presumably treated from a statistical point of view as being a new ticket.

I have another issue I would like to raise. I find it really difficult to keep track of ipoints I have earned for surveys. Sometimes the points are not added on until months later and I cannot tell which points relate to which surveys as the invitation emails do not contain a reference number. It would be really helpful if each survey invite had a code like Test & Vote so it would be easier to see when you have been paid and what is outstanding.

    Hi Matt

The main things for me are the delays in getting points, and the lack of responses to communication. I have tried support tickets, emails and letters. I occasionally get a response to say that they will look into my query and it may take several days, then hear nothing after that. Other times I don't receive a response at all.

My support ticket regarding missing points dating back to November 06 was submitted on 9th January, and is still showing "In Progress", the response to the ticket is that someone is looking into the missing points and it may take several days - that was on 15th February.

I sent a letter in the post to ipoints about a month ago, which again got no response, so I wrote again to the Managing Director, Geraline Tosh asking for the missing points to be credited within 14 days or I would have no choice but to contact Consumer Direct and the Direct Marketing Association including copies of previous correspondance and the support ticket - I am guessing they have received this as 9,400 or the 14,400 ipoints owed were credited on 18th June, but 5,000 are still outstanding and I have had no communication by post, email and no update to the support ticket.

It has been a frustrating year with ipoints, mainly caused by a lack of responses to communication. If they are having trouble with merchants paying them (which I suspect may be causing delays to points being awareded), I would have preferred ipoints to have been honest about it and at least keep us informed.

    Cheers

    Marc
