now we all know shell supply standard fuel and a higher premiun fuel called V-Power

Yesterday my car was getting low on Diesel so i pulled in and topped her up.

I can't remember how many litres i stuck in, all i know is it cost me £78!!

anyway prior to filling my car up, as i entered the garage forecourt i could see V-Power balloons,V-Power uniform clad staff memebers etc.

No sooner had i pulled up to the pump, a staff member approached me and told me i should use V-Power as it's the best fuel there is etc

I said i'm not intersted in paying a 10p premium per litre, for a fuel that probably has a few addatives added in. He tried to sway me yet again saying it's not addatives - It's a totally different fuel.

I insisted no thanks and he stated you'll save money in the long run

Now whilst i appreciate they are trying to drum up business, given the cost of fuel already, why are they trying to pressure people into paying more for an already expensive product

People that are vulnerable like the elderly pobably get sucked in like a good'un and i feel it's wrong.

Like most petrol stations really. It's too much effort for them to even tell you the price sometimes you have to look at the little screen.

Why shell out more than you have to? Right?

V-Power Diesel is actually quite a lot different from normal stuff IIRC. Not going to see much difference in an old Lag though

Doubt they'll have much luck pressure selling it in the current climate, mind :rotfl:

    in what way though Kilty?

My presumption is that it has extra addatives etc

It's not worth the 9p per litre increase imo

Cars are fast becoming seriously expensive to fill. Why would you put a further drain on your pocket

The petrol has a few extra additives but I think the diesel is actually made differently. I can't remember exactly but it's definitely not as clear cut as the unleaded.

Like the petrol, it'll be worth the extra in a high performance engine (high performance diesel?? :rotfl::rotfl:)

    Lol

everyone has the assumption that diesels are dog slow still

seriously many diesels on the market today would put there petrol brothers to shame

diesels are fast becoming very quick cars

It is if you have a vehicle that will benefit from it.

Old bangers clearly won't, but powerful cars and bikes will :)
