    Unfortuantely, the MOT tester can not take the wheels off to measure anything, so its all visual and done by feel. So the tester wouldn't have actual measurements.

    But they still felt confident to quote for work that didn't need doing for another year.

    I wonder if it had gone in for the work to be done, if they would have measured then, and finding all ok have said "Sorry, doesn't need doing". I somehow think not:cool:

    AS said so many times before, it's about finding somewhere trustworthy.

    Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

    yeah but the tester doesnt know how the car owner drives does he lol.
    could do loads of handbrake turns etc and wear the rear pads out very quickly

    Assuming of course the car uses it's rear pads for the handbrake, ;);)
