EGG Cashback Payment Date

They've paid it on a different day each year since launch...My 2010-11 cashback is not on my current March statement (12/03) (which is when it was paid last year)
2005/06...31st March
2006/07...6th March
2007/08...4th March
2008/09...16th March
2009/10...12th March
It's not 'late' until April 1st, so I'm not sure what good a secure message will do other than get you a scripted "Egg Money cashback is paid in March" reply?0 -
Thanks for all your comments.opinions4u wrote: »I would wait until they scrap/reduce the cashback. It will take them a few months to get round to it.
My DH and I already have a Capital One card (no fee), so we are fine with the cashback on that.
I have not used my Egg card since Jan11 as I did not want a balance and will just spend £136 to use the cashback. I would hate to use it over the next few months, for Barclaycard not to pay anything, due to some small print!0 -
I have just received a message from Egg and advise it will be credited by the end of March.0

I'm sure your right, but you'd think they'd credit it when they reset the clock on your account. I assume they use the same payment date for everyone irrespective of individuals statement date.
As I pay my card off in full by DD each month it wont really matter that much but it just means I wont see the "benefit" of best part of £200 until the beginning of May when the DD for 12th April statement goes through. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -

Dear #####
The Egg Money Card cash back will be credited to your account at some point in March unfortunately we don't have a specific date as to when this will happen.
Thanks for your message.

This comes up for discussion every year - they have never failed to pay me and I don't expect this year to be any different.
Whether this will still be here next year I doubt it!0 -
I'm stopping spending on my Egg Money card. We'll get the cashback this year but next year who knows with Barclaycard ? Fortunately got a Capital One that pays 1% and a Halifax card that pays 2% on supermarket/petrol spend. Barclaycard customer ? I don't think so.0

can i quickly ask, did egg stop giving out cashback to new customers at some point? i've had a card with them for 2-3 years and have never received any cashback?
also with the migration, if you already have a barclaycard how will that work?
lastly and apologies for this being off topic (but no point starting a whole new thread for it) but hopefully it will be a yes or no answer, is it better to continuously reduce your credit limit on your cc's so it doesnt look like you have a lot of credit attached to you if you wanna apply for a new cc?
thanks for your help peeps

It's the Egg Money World MasterCard that gives cashback. Their Visa card doesn't. Which one do you have?TheMysterious1 wrote: »can i quickly ask, did egg stop giving out cashback to new customers at some point? i've had a card with them for 2-3 years and have never received any cashback? Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
