To be fair to next though it does say in there terms and conditions the credit limit may go up or down.
Credit Limit
Your account will be subject to a credit limit which we may vary at any time (up or down). The outstanding balance of your account must not exceed your credit limit. If you exceed your credit limit you may be asked to pay the excess immediately. Your credit limit will be shown on your statement.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
It may say that it the T&Cs but it's still a stupid policy, they set my limit to £0, two weeks later they put it to £1000, a week later it was back to £0, a week after that it was back upto £1000, I can't think of any other company that does this0

They are a funny bunch,
In the 5 month's of having my account, it's been up, down, left, right and any other way they feel the need to put it.
I opened a new bank account, it went to 0, within a week or so, back to normal.
I closed two credit cards, it went to 0, again, a few weeks later it went back to normal.
I normally get alerts from Equifax telling me about the new credit limit each month.
I've voiced my frustration about this on their facebook page a few times and also on the reviews when they ask for any other feedback.
What good it will do, probably nothing.0 -

It's nonsensical - how does it work there scores when there weekly feeds from CRA's showed nothing had changed on my OH reports - i don't understand then how it can put it straight to 0 when zilch changed.
Stuff them. The only real security that a man can have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience and ability.0 -
I have also had the same issue. Had my account 2 months now
1st month credit limit was 600, I ordered a 7 pounds top and paid it off plus the 5 pounds minimum that month and they put it up to 850. The this month my avalible credit dropped down to 17 quid????? Only thing i can think is i opened a littlewoods account using a voucher to get my boys football kits that were very cheap? Other than that all balances have gone down, never ever had late payments etc.
Shame really as was hoping to put a couple of hundred quids worth of clothes for may holiday on there and pay off in june!0 -
The search from opening the Littlewoods account made your credit score drop which impacted on your Next credit limit. Such a ridiculous, patronising, rude way to treat customers. I'm so glad this thread is here - I thought it was just me getting irritated by it!0

No, I'm forever banging on about how ridiculous it is (because it IS!).
I wrote to one of their Managing Directors regarding this. Now, I'm not naive enough to expect a response from the man himself, but I did think they might at least acknowledge the issue. They didn't.
So I closed the account and I spend my money elsewhere. Serves them right.0
