Asda Praise

Bought a game for my now 'ex'. He'd left it at mine so I decided to see if I could take it back as it was still sealed. I didn't have the receipt but the lady at CS gave me a voucher for a cuppa while she contacted someone who would try to locate the transaction on their system. Gave her the time, date and that it was bought at the music till, then went for my cuppa (I was going to the cafe anyway).

Went back to CS but no joy, they couldn't find it on their system. After shopping I went home and managed to find the receipt which detailed the exact date and time I'd said. It was a little disappointing that some person had failed to find the transaction but I got my £40 back for it in the end, plus a free drink. :T

As for my ex, he's now back with his previous owner. His mother. :rotfl:

    Hiya :)

We have a special board where members can post praise (or warnings) like this one, so I'll move your post across there for you.

    Thanks.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an inappropriate or illegal post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. One thinks the previous owner only delivered him.

Note to viewers of Freddie's posts. Freddie does not have experience of delivery methods, he was a bit cut up over his!

I find Tesco the worse at Customer Service and Sainsburys usually good, though they refused to honour the sticker price on a dvd for my friend the other day. I realise they don't have to, but I reckon they should as a whole pile of stuff was wrongly priced up.

Not sure why you changed what I wrote to 'mother-in-law', as the guy in question has never been married. He's still firmly attached to his mummy's apron strings, or maybe the umbilical cord.

The staff in Tesco aren't half as helpful as they are in Asda I think. It's all to do with training, but with Tesco the attitude is generally 'don't really care love, find whatever yourself.

I wouldn't bother asking. Judging by the standard of the post, he's another foaming illiterate, don't take it personally.
