I lost my lemon zester around Christmas time and it still hasn't turned up :( The desire for orange drizzle cake became to great, so I bought another last week :T

Wooden spoon for me, too. It's a spoon, a ladle, a whisk, a blender, a masher, whatever you need at the time!

A pair of ancient Probus tongs, they don't make them anymore, luckily my best pal gave me hers so I have a spare pair. I hope they last till I join my maker.

No one in our house dares touch them they are guarded every bit as well as the crown jewels.

:) I'd hate to lose my smallest kitchen devil knife, the one with a blade about 2.5 inches long. It's years old and a bit bent at the tip but very very versatile.

:) Second is a group entry....the wooden spoons. I'm such a saddo that I bought 2 in Europe for I euro because I especially liked the round bowl shape.

:) And the horizontal veg peeler, so much faster than the other kind and handy to shave bits of cheese for sarnies too.

Oh, and the corkscrew/ bottle opener......:rotfl:

  • My Good Grips snap lock can opener. I just can't get on with the basic ones, this is the best one I've ever used. Probably the only thing I would seek out an exact replacement for if I ever broke it.

I tend to use a regular fork or spoon for most things when I'm actually cooking though, I only own a handful of other utensils.

Another vote here for a 15yr old kitchen devil knife..I use it for everything. Second is my old wooden spoon! I also have a set of 3 mixing bowls, they are plastic and have a rubber grip around the bottom..they are my 3 most used items in the kitchen, the smallest is perfect for microwave sponge puds, the medium one ideal for melting things in microwave and a must when making twinks hobnobs and the third is used for mixing (and corn chips when I am watching a movie lol!)

Another vote for the small kitchen devil knife :T I've bought and tried other knives since, but this is still the one I'll always use if its clean.
