I was considering going to Euro Disney with my lad this summer, but due to a mix-up it may not happen. Therefore i am trying to think of an equally as fun alternative. Are there any, i'm struggling. Any help is much appreciated.

Maybe a weekend a Alton Towers, or something similar?0

Legoland Windsor, Thorpe Park, Chessington - Find a nice hotel on the outskirts of London and it will be manageable to do one theme park per day and/or combine it with a trip into London.
As jalapee has suggested, Alton Towers - Theme Park, Waterpark and onsite hotel. Also from Alton Towers you are not too far away from Drayton Manor.0 -
Europa Park in Germany has an excellent reputation

youl get cheap ryanair flights to reus its ten mins from airport to salou and about ten min walk from centre of salou id strongly advise this and its great as it doesnt cost much and youl often get code and discounts online, last year i actualy bought tickets froma pub and they cost me 10 euros per day0
