Holidays whilst still in debt

Thinking logicaly if you need a holiday but don't go, you are less likely to pay off your debts. As it will feel like you are bogged down by it all. Everyone needs a life.Barclaycard 3800

goa sounds good to me i would, but make sure your debt is now under controll ie dont fiddle when rome burns if its still out of controll dont take a holliday , as well as that remember dont borrow for spending money etc just make dure you can afford it and of you go .
saying all the above even in debt you all deserve a break just cut your cloth to your current situations0 -
I have booked my family holiday for next year and whilst I still have a huge debt I don't feel guilty as I have booked it using my Tesco clubcard deals, which Ihave saved over the last year. I think it can do you the world for good just to ge away from it all and then be refreshed to start chipping away at the debt once you get back.Debt Oct 2006 £42,215.21 at highest. Debt Today £0.000

loopyloulou, if your finance is under control and you are not borrowing anymore then you don't need to feel bad about taking a holiday, go for it. being debt free you will be able to take more holidays, I will be off to Mauritius for 3 week next month.(No I don't need anybody to carry my suitcase)Yung

I could either, carry on as I am, with CC on 0% and chipping away at my loan slowly but surely, and save some money to go away this time next year (without putting myself into any more debt) by saving £100 a month for 10 months (which I was – until last month – paying off my sofas with). Or I could pay an extra £100 a month off my CC and not have a holiday until I am debt free - which could take forever!!
I feel bad going on hols with debt still there, although I am starting to feel the need for a holiday as I haven’t had one for years and years (and even when I did they were tagging along with my OH’s parents!).
Do any of you still take holidays whilst in debt, or are you waiting to be debt free, save up and then have a holiday?
Everyone needs a break. Life shoudl be about enjoyment. Go on holiday dont feel guilty.0 -
