dmg, ONW and D70 are entitled to their opinions, and if they don't want to pat you on the head and say 'there, there' then they are quite entitled to. You post on a public forum-deal with the 'public' replies.

Likewise the same applies to you DMG, ONW & D70.

I will say what I want and if you read all my posts, where I have sought help, I have always made a big point of pressing the thank you button and often a post especially to say thank you.

Good job there are those who genuinely want to help and I do wish you and others wouldn't thrust your resentment down my throat. Read the sticky at the top by Martin Lewis which I will quote yet again.

"Its about helping people get their entitlement! Not about benefits policy!

This board is here for help and support for those on or looking to claim benefits, not for judgement."

I don't comment very much..but is anyone else thinking 'wind up' or 'Andy'?

Right from the start but, like a good little MSE member, I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt.;)

I've noticed this tack before from you and others. When you know you have gone too far and are not able to be that eloquent in your response you bring up the Andy thing. Absolutely and utterley pathetic.

Some people seem to think that £16000 is a lot of money. Look at the cost of everything. Its not a lot in this day and age and in my opinion far too low a figure at which to be witheld benefits.

For very many people it's more than a year's salary but benefits aren't withdrawn if you have this much (well, £15,999); they're reduced.

That's interesting. You object to someone using the word "ludicrous" of your opinion but it's fine to call a fellow member "pathetic".

Your opinion but I stick with my posts in full. Why don't you re-read the forum rules - this extract is interesting is it not?

There's also sometimes a "this is our board" attitude that seems to not want new posters coming in and ruining a pre-established clique.
To be utterly clear - both of these go against the philosophy of this site.
MoneySaving should be fun. Everyone using these boards is here for the same reason, to save money. The site's motto is "Please be nice to other MoneySavers". I have read the sticky-quite a long time ago, thank you.

I don't quite understand what you mean as in 'likewise myself, dmg, ONW and D70'-we are posting our opinions..we aren't immediately going on the defensive.

I'm afraid we aren't being rude or abusive-merely stating what we think about your situation. If all you had wanted were 'oh poor you' replies, maybe you should have posted elsewhere?

Resentful? No, sorry to disappoint. I work hard for what I have, and if I had over 16k in savings-I would NOT be keeping my eye on the bottom line, waiting for the day I could claim benefits. I find your attitude distasteful. Stressing about claiming benefits when you are comfortable? Got to be a wind up!

Now- what I find interesting is that 'Andy' staged his cyber suicide well before you joined....

    Now I'm convinced!

And no-I'm not in any clique. If you review my posts, you'll find I don't comment on many threads and the boards are wide and varied.

I refer to my quotes in posts 30 & 32. Why do you and others keep on being so judgemental. The legislation says when people have £15,999 they are entitled to claim so why would you wish to get on your soapbox and expect me to be bullied into agreeing with you that this figure is to high.

I never set the the £16,000 figure the government did.
