In my experience the iphone has a better battery life than an HTC Desire.
Still wouldn't have the iphone mind you.
What HTC handset would you recommend then? My Blackberry is fine, but want to try something new, either an Android device or an iPhone. Battery life is always a struggle as I spend a lot of time doing emails/surfing etc.0 -
I am happy with my Desire but the battery life on an iphone is better.
The Samsung Galaxy is suppose to have a very good battery life.0 -

The Desire is a great phone, but as the previous poster pointed out, its battery life isn't very good - I'm constantly running out of juice before the day is out because I use it regularly for internet browsing and apps.
It's usually a trade-off between having a big screen / powerful processors vs. battery longevity, so you're likely to get more life from a lower-specced phone like the HTC Wildfire.
If you want to look away from HTC, I understand the Samsung Galaxy S has a slightly higher capacity battery than the Desire, but battery life seems to be an issue with all of the powerful new smartphones.0 -

Many thanks! Much appreciated. Will have a look around, but the Galaxy S seems like a very interesting option...0 -
Will have a look around and post again when my contract is up for renewal in 2 weeks time.0

They don't do contracts - they are PAYG and you can leave any time. The goodybags they advertise are call/text/net bundles that you buy a month at a time.0 -
Have you tried the BillMonitor website:

It analyses your bills for you and recommends the best deal apparently.0
