How can I talk on the mobile to the other half without collecting a huge phone bill!!

Me and my girlfriend do not currently live with each other and we are both racking up HUGE mobile phone bills. This can not go on any longer!!!!!!

I was hoping someone on this site could advise me if there is a contract that would allow me to call her and vica versa without having a huge phone bill. She is currently on Flext 35 on tmbile, and i am on o2 retentions deal and neither of our free minutes are enough. I know the obvious answer would be to not talk as much:D but i dont think that will work!!!

Are there any contracts that allow you to phone one number for free as long as u want?? or anything else that would reduce our massive bills!

take a look at Vodafone Family, for up to 4 people ...

Just one of you pays £5 a month and you can make as many calls as you like to each other (up to 60 minutes per call), at any time. It doesn’t matter if you’re a pay as you talk or a pay monthly customer, as long as the four of you are all on Vodafone.

So I'd suggest have a cheap payg phone as well as the contract ones, and use these to talk to each other on Vodafone, saving the inclusive contracts for other calls

magic numbers on orange are now being registered with unlimited calls instaed of hanging up after an hour!!!
how long does your g/f have left on flext contract?

I think she still has another 12 months remaing on the Flext 35 tarriff, I told her not to get this tarriff, but do they ever listen!!!!!;)

in all honesty she is pretty stuck, but maybe a cheaper alternative is for you to just buy a PAYG sim card.. (orange???) and nominate each other as magic numbers so you can call free!!! magic numbers work for both PAYG and pay monthly customers!! you are on orange arent you?

how can your girlfriend go over a flext 35? its a £180 allowance! are you calling 0845 numbers or texting tv shows, just out of curiosity?
that idea of a payg sim could keep her payments down, as its a phone she could use for purely calling you!! when you say huge bills too how much do you mean? she can up her tariff on a flext to the flext 50 which is a £255 allowance but means she is saving in the long run!!

both get orange paug sims
top up £10 a month on 1 orange PAUG sim, nominate the other number as the magic no and talk away
or if she spends at least an extra £25 on her contract take out another orange contract and use the magic number of u on a paug sim
on that plus shed have extra anytime/any net mins and text and depending on the plan landline mins! - you could eve add the paug as a 'your group' meaning unlimited free calls from the contract to u and u to her but youd have to top up at least £10 a month for that as well as her £25 for the contract

Using Orange Payg Magic Number needs a top up of £10 a month and costs 15p a call.
