  • Got a Netgear TA612V today in Ipswich. Still plenty left. They also got plenty of the Philips USB wireless adapter for I think £6.91.

Drop into the Colchester branch too, they got 2 3com ADSL modem/wireless router 11g + pcmcia+usb adapters for £24.99. Thought this was a good bargain. Already got a wireless setup so did not buy it. Also have one left Belkin 500VA UPS for £39.91 http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=201050

    Hi!
I saw yesterday the MAGELLAN ROADMATE 700 at Croydon's Staples reduced from £499.91 to £149.91.
There is a same one selling at Comet http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=259047
The GPS units are getting cheap nowdays, don't know if its a good buy.
    Good Luck!

anything usefull left in the midlands area(birmingham, coventry, derby) or even telford,

Particuraly interested in networing equipement (routers, nas drives etc) The Linksys NSLU2 Network Storage Link sounds ideal considering i got a few exterl hard drives.

I've trawled most of the Midlands stores looking for NSLU2 without success. Ended up buying one off EBay from a guy who had clearly been hoovering them up at Staples.

Can heartily recommend the NSLU2 though. Fantastic way of creating cheap NAS storage if you've got lots of disks lying around.
  • It's just typical that the Liverpool branch doesn't have a clearance section!

I'd advise you to look more closely - most of these bargains were not in a clearance area in my store but spread around the shelves.

I picked up a Sony Vaio mouse reduced from £34.99 to £9.91 (afraid there are no more of these left)

But they did have some Netgear VoIP boxes (Sipgate branded) - reduced to £19.91 - left on the table by the door.

There were a couple of other IT items, such as microsoft trackaball mouse and USB floppy drive with flash media reader built in - but none seamed great value.

BTW - these were all in the Croydon Store .... accurate as of today 27 Dec 2006, around 3pm.

Hope that helps someone out there !!
