Took my bargain TA612 back to staples - it only works with sipgate and there's knack all settings you can change! What a swiz. Even a review in personal computer world says it's misleading so it wasn't just me! http://www.itweek.co.uk/personal-computer-world/hardware/2144436/netgear-ta612v0

you can unlock the box via the sipgate website....oops you've already returned it! the info was somewhere else on this thread i think
initially the option wasn't available to unlock, hence the review you've quoted...0 -
When you sign up to Sipgate you download the unlocking software/firmware. You aren't limited to using Sipgate though.tin wrote:Took my bargain TA612 back to staples - it only works with sipgate and there's knack all settings you can change! What a swiz. @tin:
it is possible to unlock the TA612V, apparently. register with sipgate as it asks, then look for a link that says 'unlock firmware'. a simple search of the MSE forums will turn up the instructions.0 -
