I stayed at Trenewydd Farm last year. My BF and I stayed in a 2bed cottage, the accomodation is very clean, spacious and very nice suroundings. The farm has a swimming pool (check the season it opens) and has 2 gorgeous shetland ponies, rabbits, sheep and chicken on the farm which should be nice for your little boy. The owners live on-site and are friendly. I think they do feeding times for the farm. My BF and I certainly had a relaxing time feeding the ponies. The farm is close to many parts of the south west coast, so you have to option to do many things like the South west coastal path (pembrokeshire) as well as visit many of the beautiful beaches on the south west coast.
We also drove the 30 mins to Aberystwyth and took a ride on a steam train up the Welsh hills to Devils Bridge. Very good fun and beautiful views.

  • Sorry, I forget how far the beach is from the accom, but i do remember that my Wales trip was a mini road trip, we drove around pretty everywhere and visited loads of little towns.
I reckon the farm, you need a car, there are local buses but its in the countryside and I'm not sure how safe/ frequent they are.

Im sorry love.... Ive only managed to sign back online since I commeneted to your threa.

Penwig is lovely, it has a lovely fronrage where you can sit and have a meal overlooking the sea..
They have Kyaking, fishing trips, lovely beach, dolphin watch, arcades... there will be plenty to do..
If the weather is against you, you can go to Aberaeron where they have an indoor pool.. lovely bike ride/ walk up the old railway track...
Further down the road in Llangrannog they have the "urdd Camp" where my daughter works, where you can take the children to a dry ski slope/ taboganum (I think thats how you spell it!!!) But I think the children have to be 7 or over...
PLUS.... they have lovely chips in New Quay.... both my daughters used to work in the Captains Rendevous (Again, I think that how you spell it).. opposite there, there's a £1.20 shop, where everything in the shop is only £1.20... so ideal if you have children that likes spending money!!!!!!!!! ;)

    Im sure you'll enjoy it...

I walked from New Quay to Traeth Gwyn only yesterday, when the tide is out you can do this, I think its a mile each way.... its lovely and safe.. but make sure you come back before the tide scomes back in!!!!

I sure hope you have a lovely time
