Two kittens running the house! Help!

Ahh, so maybe catnip won't work on ours, what a shame! They played madly on their playgym thingy for a couple of weeks, but at the moment they prefer the stairs :-/. I was hoping to attract them back to their own toys!!!purplepardalis wrote: »This sounds like my house too. My 16 week old girl kittens are lunatics. I spend my whole day like this:
"No, get off. Get down. No, No. Get off there. Get out of that. What are you doing?!"
Hahaha, this is SO me! One of ours keeps jumping on the kitchen work surface so I'm repeating these phrases over and over and over...purplepardalis wrote: »I do love them though!
Me too. They are so loveable
. Especially in the evenings when we all snuggle up together. I even had my hair groomed last night! LOL. 0 -

Wait till they start trying to groom any male armpit hair.... yuk!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
This brings back memories of my two, now aged 3 (4 in July).
As they get older, they start to settle down a bit, so no this hyperactivity won't be forever! One of the best things I ever got my two was a laser pen; they love chasing the little red dot round and round the house until they're both knackered. Also, games of "Chase the Treat", where I throw bits of treat sticks up the stairs for them to chase, works wonders.
At 10.30pm every night they go in the back room for bedtime - that way they don't annoy me wanting attention in the middle of the night. They are so good - they know when it's bedtime and even put themselves to bed now!
Don't respond to them crying and wailing at you for attention, otherwise you'll train them into bad habits.0
