Thank you :T I think that's all the recipes there were last night:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I really injoyed the programme... it might highlight to people to support british produce....
I like my cauiflower just boiled, served in a bowl with black pepper and a big knob of butter melting over the top:D... ooooo i am dribbling allready.... the thing is i got to have this when there is no one else in house, as they hate the smell of cauli and cabbage...:oWork to live= not live to work0 -
I have the dough for the sandwich loaf proving atop the Rayburn :j
There's far too much water in the recipe, so I'll add it more cautiously next time:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Enjoyed the prog last night, love sour-dough bread, ate quite a lot in San Francisco, they have a very famous bakery making it, its lovely, really chewy and tasty with a great crust.
The HB's were good as ever but have you tried the Jamie Oliver caulifower and macaronie cheese from 30 Minuite Meals? It's really yummy and quick to make. Mind you those 30 min meals give you a real kitchen work out, I am always sweating by the time I get everything on the table!"doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -

That seems to be the most popular recipe from the show! Lots of people here love it, and it does seem like a very tasty and healthy alternative to mac cheese.
I'll watch this on iplayer tonight, but I'm not expecting muchLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
I watched it last night while waiting for Masterchef. It wasn't what I was expecting, to be honest. I was disappointed by the lack of measurements and the loving close-ups on the chefs. Still anything that gets people back in the kitchen gets a thumbs up from me, especially if they're cooking with things that have fallen out of favour and are healthy.
To add to the list of cauli ideas - I like it as mash with veggie haggis, it offsets the peppery haggis and I make a mean chilli-roasted cauliflower risotto, break the flower up, par-boil it, roast it with a couple of chopped chillies and some breadcrumbs, when it's slightly crunchy and just starting to brown I fling it on the top of a nice basic risotto for contrast. Unexpectedly lush.Make £11,000 04MAR-31DEC2011 -

I also really enjoyed the program.
Off to Tesco to buy cauliflower after work, we haven't had one since before Christmas and OH wants the special cauliflower cheese with bacon and mushrooms for his tea tonight..0 -

I also liked the fact that the programme wasn't so much about recipes, because there's so many of those already and this being a bit different and focusing more on getting passionate about British food, for me; made a refreshing change:)0
