i just wanted to say a big thank you for the above advice, i was having a nightmare last night trying to wrap my large family night in hamper without having gaps at the side (think my cellophane is too narrow really) so i searched this thread in the hope that someone would have a bright idea of how to do it - i knew you guys would know!! i will try again tonight but i'm sure this way will work much better, i will try and post pictures when i am finished!

I dont know if its any use but lakeland have 4 bags for £5.99 - they are very big and two layers - foil covered with cellophane - perfect for big or ackward shaped baskets.

Originally i thought they were a bit expensive but really at £1.50 each they are only 50p more than the large ones in poundland.

Would make hampers or even ackward gifts look lovely and professional.

Hubby was passing a Home Bargains today, so I sent him in with a list (much to his disgust - he hates shopping, lol). Came out with 20 yes/no dolls for various hampers I'm putting together.

He says he could have bought three times that and still left some on the shelf - shame I didn't think to get some petty cash from the PTA - they'd be great tombola prizes at that price.


Anyway - that now means that I've got all the bits and pieces I need for Christmas, and all I have to do is put the hampers together - I'll have to do them as I see people as there's nowhere safe to keep them all once they're made up - I'll be sure to post pictures.

I'm itching to get started, lol
