hiya again .. thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

We don't have most of those places listed in Rotherham Centre, and being new to South Yorkshire I wouldnt feel comfortable attempting to 'bus it' to anywhere further .. I have a terrible sense of direction and got lost going to our local post office 10 mins walk away! .. and its in a virtually straight line too !! lmao

I've spoke to my friend who drives and she is going to take me to a matalan and there is a bhs near there too.

And I had totally not thought of ebay either .. i never do when it comes to household things for some reason

thanks everyone for putting my brain in order for me :o
    lol

Gosh, mine looks like a poor effort compared to some on here!
But, honest opinions please, this is my clingfilm wrapped one:

    picture133lf5.jpg

I tried to wrap it the "normal" cellophane way with it bunched at the top with a bow but it kept sagging so I did it like this, have I gone overboard with bows? I was trying to detract attention from it being clingfilm. I need to straighten/flatten it at the bottom as it is looking bunched together.
The only other problem I encountered was that cling film can be a bit cloudy and the contents not so easy to see.

all your baskets look so great , I would be thrilled to recieve any of them . they have inspired me to have a go , I just hope I haven't left it too late.

so far ,I went to wilkos yesterday and bought lots of fillers and some baskets, then at tesco yesterday i picked up some nice sterling silver jewellery sets containing earring and a necklace reduced to £2.50, I have ordered some smellies from avon on their 3 for £5 promotion , I also bought a mug , some mini whisks and some ht choloctae sachets for my sisters hot choc mug .

I think I've made a good start but I have to give the buyng a break this week as we had to buy a new washing machine but I'll be back to it again next week ... thank heavens we still have weekly paydays LOL

  • Mumma2one :) Well done

But I think you're right a bit of overkill with the bows for me. I think it would like nicer with just the one on the basket. I thnk the bows are actually drawing your attention to the clingfilm more...sorry.

Perhaps make up a bigger bow (really like the wine coloured one) on the basket?
