  • I got some pull bows from ebay :)

    Looked at them this morning and being at times, miss dopey-drawers, don't know how to do them? :o

    And as I don't want to faff around and probably mess one or more of them up thought it best to ask for help here first!

    I can see a "thread" in between 2 layers, do I just pull that?

    TIA!
  • yeah thats right there is thin threads in the middle of the thicker ribbon just gently pull them down x
    Not setting myself any comp targets this year, didnt seem to work last year!!! £120.98/£2008
    2009/ maybyliene eyeshadow, rimmel polish, loreal foundation, Glamour: hairbrush
    boots card =2625
    quidoco= 110.00
    Thanks to all that take the time to post
  • I see the basket or box as part of the present and try to pick a colour, shape, lining etc to suit each individual person... I tend to make sure that I would be happy to have it back too ( you never know ;) )

    A lot of the cheaper baskets that I've looked at tend to be quite weak around the handle area which puts me off... I've not seen any baskets for 99p around me tho...

    That's a good idea. I haven't had a huge look for baskets yet, only thought about doing hamper the other day and happened to see the 99p ones. I didn't think about how strong they are, they seemed ok. Maybe if the baskets aren't fancy I can make them suited to the person using the pattern of the fabric (I have a lot)

    Rusty - I too went to my local Boots yesterday and it's quite a large one and they'd had the offer on but had run out of the gift packs. I was quite annoyed that they hadn't properly thought about how many packs they would need as it would definately be a popular offer. The woman there blamed it on people buying in bulk but that wouldn't make a difference if they had ordered the right amount in!!! Might be best to phone the Boots store before making a special journey as they told me yesterday that many Boots have sold out. Offer on until Tuesday.

    Thanks Angie, I will probably have a wander down anyway as there is a big book shop and other things down there so I can kill a bit of free time whilst my son is at school, my little girly loves being out and about in her pushchair anyway plus I may even drive the extra 5 miles and go to princess quays see what goodies I can get from next clearance etc :)

    Don't know if this has been mentioned already but M&S has a range of 50p plain mugs in - three different ones painted cream, light blue and burgundy red (the retro colours that seem to be around this Christmas).
