Body shop used to do single bath pearls (not sure if they still do though) and my local health food store when I was living with my mum had single bath pearls too.

They natural collection in boots sometimes have smaller packets of bath pearls

I think Wilkos do small packs of bath pearls, usually about 99p. There's some 'girlz only' ones online for 99p seem to be pink red and clear ones (9 in a packet) should be in store too. I also read someone on here used lollipops, which I thought was quite a nice idea too.

Anyone know where to get cheap Matey bubble bath? I've seen it on offer somewhere for £1 but can't for the life of me remember where!!!

  • Thanks guys- I used to love getting bath pearls from Boots and the Body Shop- makes me feel all nostalgic! I remember those divine smelling strawberry shaped soaps from the Body Shop too. Maybe I should make a 90's toiletries hamper for one of my girlfriends!

  • I'm sure I've seen Matey in Poundland or Savers- can't remember which I'm afraid. My brain goes to mush at this time of the day! Worth a try if you either near you x

Enjoy the chew chew ... I have Phish food and chew chew in my freezer ... wether it lasts til OH comes home on thursday is another matter :D

Phish Food used to be my absolute fave but been overthrown by Cookie Dough. I am currently sitting here ploughing through a tub of Half Baked. Can recommend it (OH is away tonight so I may just eat the whole lot :p).

Well had a bit of a disappointing day after getting up early armed with my list of goodies to get after reading up on this thread last night.

I wanted some matchboxes, halloween loot bags, craft items, jars for the retro sweets and some baskets to put all the items in.

I didnt manage to get any of it  I was in poundland, asda, tesco, poundstretcher, big w.

I came home on a real low. I think I am gonna try ebay or another site. Does anyone have any good sites that I could get bits n bobs from. Also I was looking on ebay last nite for those cup cake holders for the socks and couldnt find and big ones with the high sides.

Would appreciate any help guys as I was really hoping to start my baskets today and it all went horribly wrong :-(

Has anyone managed to get single (or small packs of) bath pearls to use in flannel cupcakes? I seen largish packs in Boots for £2.99 I think, but don't really need many. When I was a kid you used to get them singly in loads of places....

I'm another southerner longing for a home bargains!

I have a few you can have if they're any good - they are pale pink. Think I've got 4 or 5, PM me if you'd like them ;)

Mrs T - Wilkos and Dunelm do nice kilner jars for about £1.49 which would look nice for retro sweets. I don't know why you couldn't find anything in Asda....

Passion8 - were you offering to send me some cello bags ;) - or just telling me not to bother for the sake of 3 - sorry possibly a bit dim today...

Oh no Mrs T, not good when you know what you want and can't find it  Do you have an Ikea near you, good place for jars. Wilkos is good for basic craft stuff. You can order online and get delivered to a shop and save p&p - http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/page/home. Can buy most things on ebay but watch out for postage costs ;)
