  • hello lovely ladies ,

I been on a couple of Hamper supplies missons the past two days. I had to travel to Milton keynes to drop off a ebay mirror. I ended up losing partner ( no phone on me ) in the massive Ikea luckily found Him in Christmas Decorations. Bought a lovely reel of ribbon and some heart decorations and little silver hearts on strings. Also a gingerbread house under 2.00 not sure how good it will look after i`ve attacked it !

I also went to Telford and Wellington though loads of things i wanted weren`t in stock  .

I did get some nice snowman tealight holders ceramic at Dunelm. googly eyes at wilkinsons so many more than tesco pack..

So lots of walking around but not much buying some days are like that !

I`ll sign off this section before praising those lovely hampers as it normally signs me out if i take too long typing !.

  • Cookiedough lovely hamper makes you just want to snuggle up .. those matalan boxes have come in so useful !

Rose Kitten makes me want to get in the kitchen those lovely ingredients . I bought those chocolate bars as I`m going to make the after dinner truffles so you could throw in a recipe if its not all tied up with cello yet !

auerol212 :D thanking you for the super inventive ideas I`ve decided to do OH a country hamper : a flask, shooting stick for walks ( need ebay bargain ) a pair of wely warmers and book from Book people about countryside.

My mothers hamper I`ve located a couple of books just need to see if i can get audio copies. I found one company that did a book a month with free ipod but it was 7.99 a month for 1 title ekkkk....

Glad the American Hampers ideas went down well that American fudge recipe looks divine..:T

I'd like to bulk out a hamper a little, so far it has:

bar of soap cake (looks like pink coconut cake)
    cup & pink herbal teas
    cupcakes teatowl
    sock muffin
    cupcakes coasters

But I want to put some more things either in the hamper or with it. Thinking the same cupcakes book I mentioned before, a teapot, something cake-smell related from Lush - any other ideas?

I like the idea of a lush bomb ... they do a creamy candy bath and I think it looks a little like a cake and would fit in with your cupcake and pink theme :)

I love these. They will do at least 3-4 baths too, so much better value than the bath bombs. They will have their xmas stuff in by now too, so you may find something even better. Used to work in Lush....oh, how I miss the staff discount... :-)

I am terrible for only using part of them, some of the nicer ones are so expensive so I tend to make them into 3 or 4 as you say. I even buy the children the ickle bath bombs my son loves these and they make him feel grown up lol bless :)
Not sure if I could work there, although I guess when you work there after so long you the smell isn't as strong. OH won't come into the shops with me he complains  although he found his way in there last year and bought me the biggest box they did :D

For anyone with a poundstretcher I recommend going. I picked up loads of little bits today and they have lots reduced. Not sure if it is the same in instore or not?

Kiddies gloves were 99p each or 2 for £1.50 they had halloween items 3 for 2 and a huge amount of the food items and toys reduced. I picked up some cadburys drinking chocky for snowman soup it was only 50p rather than the £1.10 in the cheap shop or £2.18 in morrisons :D

You sound a lot more organised than me................I've got a spare room full of baskets and boxes and stuff I've been getting through the year and now it's spilled over to my little den/comp. room !! OH dumper 4 portable tv's in spare room which doesnt help but he;s promised to shift them tomorrow so I can move my 'santa's grott' all to the same room............then I just might be able to sort out who's having what.
Need to look out the tool box I got for sons retro sweet box.......needs a good soaking to get the labels off............will I be done in time I wonder:rotfl:
