Hi all
Hope you don't mind me joining in. I have just spent the past few days reading the entire thread and it is so inspirational. I am really excited about Christmas this year (not usually so i'm not sure where thats come from:rotfl: ) and can't wait to get started on my hampers.
I'm planning on doing quite a few hampers this year and have quite a small budget of about £10 per person. I'm doing one for my mum, dad, mil, sil, dd and her 2 friends and probably a few others for grandparents friends etc. I've got so many good ideas from here so thank you to those who have posted their pics and ideas. they have been a great help:beer:
I've started shopping today and i'm quite pleased with how things are going at the moment although i haven't found any reasonably priced baskets yet - bah
I have a quick question. does anybody have any idea of where i could get a fairly cheap wheat bag. I'd quite like one for my mum and sil
Thanks a lot guys...i look forward to seeing lots more fantastic ideas:beer:

Hi Guys and Gals,
This is my first post on these forums. Am a 19yr old male student currently on an extremely tight budget, so thought these forums would be ideal.
Anyway here is a website that sells luxury baskets/hampers. Thought I would post it for everyone that needs inspiration about what to add to their basket. Can easily get the contents cheaper if you buy them yourselves!

Anyway I can't wait till Xmas :santa2: :xmassmile :xmastree: :xmassign:

Hi all!!
rusty flange! your nappy cakes are just lush!!
I also love your NUFC hamper, fantastic I may well "steal" your idea and do a Liverpool themed one for DH.
I found this teramundi, the swirls look like they'd go quite nicely with the NUFC stuff, 25% off too
there's a white one with black spores on the site but imo not as nice.
Here's a black one with white spots, quite masquline, plain but still nice
thin stripey one here
this one has thicker stripes which match the gift you have inside the mug.
OOOO!!! Just found this one, a Season Ticket savings pot! £3 saving too
thanks for your inspiration!! I can't wait to start with Dh's one, was just thinkijng about what to buy him... may well do an Arsenal one for DS1 too!!look after the pennies.....0 -
DOH!!! why do i ALWAYS forget to refresh!! so sorry, looks like you're sorted for the teramundi!!
how embarrasing LOLlook after the pennies.....0 -
rusty I love your NUFC hamper - your OH is going to be thrilled with itsaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
Rusty, FAB hamper!
And great nappy cakes too
I've got to get cracking on my sisters' hampers (got them roughly the same stuff and need to ring the changes a bit) and now want to do one for my niece of 8, thinking a HSM one or maybe a cooking one, depends on which works out best moneywise as am feeling a tad skint
Definitely going to do OH a pot of gold. As usual all he wants for Xmas is fish-hooks  and I want to spend a bit more than £1 on him cos he's the world to me!
Quick Q: where can I buy some bath "pearls" cos need some for a topping to a flannel "muffin" and all I have seen is the strawberry shaped ones in Boots and I really want these to look like cherries?0 -
Bravobeastie fantastic hampers!!! they are lovely!
Shaz again a lovely cooking hamper
Thanks for all of the kind comments and pointers on where to get a terramundi from! really appreciate it
Sorry been a little rushed today, a friend of mine is completely loosing the plot she has just been diagnosed with post natal depression and its hitting her hard, her OH has walked out on her and she is struggling with her 10 month old little boy. She is currently in the pub having a break and I have a house full of children ... a 10 month old boy, my 17 month old daughter and my 6 yr old son ... Poor OH isn't going to know what he is walking into when he gets home from a week working away!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
