Hi thanks for the nice thoughts about the sweet hampers - one friend saw them and said - do they really like sweets then - she just didn't get the whole retro idea.
Ikkle I think your basket was fab
Mary 43 I'm picturing a fab basket made by you too
Oh and whoever did the reindeers - well done on that too! They look lovely. I still need to find some ribbon for mine but I'm waiting until the shops stock it again! Got no bells tho.... I've bought a couple of craft sets as presents for others and nicked the tiny pompoms out of that - oops so have enough pompoms for about 6 more reindeer, have enough anters - but need more fillings, more flannels and more eyes.... hmmm

they are to go in a "beer" themed hamper what do you think?
All hampers are fab as always:D0 -
Hi threelittlepigs - I don't remember beer bottles as a kid only cola bottles - Morrisons sell quite big bottle sweets part white part brown which you could prehaps use as beer bottle equiv - their pick and mix is I think 69p per 100g if that is of any helps. Otherwise you could take the 10p haribo cola bottles available at all supermarkets take out the bag and put in a different bag and hey presto use as beer bottles - just a thought!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I had initially decided not to go for the M&S book offer because I couldn't find enough books that would keep all family & friends happy. I had another look through tonight and combined the 50% offer with the 3 for 2.
i.e. two books initially £7.50 now 50%, one £7.50 book not 50% off
Doing that I still saved just under £40, got 9 pressies and they work out at less than £2.50 each!0 -
I bought £30 worth of the gardening books for mum and mil hampers, should have been £37 inc p&p total cost £5.00 :j0

I'm trying to put together a hamper for my aunty. She's off to St Lucia on Nov 6th, for 5 months and so she'll be away over Christmas.
My aunty just loves flip flops, so I've picked up some of them to put in and also I found a flip-flop shaped photo frame in Wilkos to include. I thought about putting some suncreams in and also thought about getting the family (my mum and my other aunts) to record messages to put on a CD for her.
I did think with her travelling, it might be better for me to put the hamper together in a beach bag or something - not sure where I'll be able to find a beach bag now.
I'm just not sure what else to put in and I was just wondering if anyone could please help me with ideas.
Thanks in advance
