Question though...
How do I make it that people cant tell whats in the hampers?
Im wondering if it would be worth wrapping the whole thing up in paper?
Ideas guys!
It also depends what sort of basket you use! Now my xmas cello has arrived - I am planning to finish this up with cello!
There's always the gift bag...... which a few have used - eg on tea hampers... Or buy slightly obscured cello - eg hessian gold from Flowerhour where they can still see but it is obscured like a veil. You could always just buy coloured cello!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

nzk I am jealous re the ikea buy... ikea is too far away and I'm trying to resist anyway. I went around my favourite basket suppliers this weekend - the cheapest baskets have all gone! Boo hoo!
I want to eat your sweet hamper - but then my kids want to eat the retro hamper I'm currently making.... I've promised my DS a honeyduke's hamper for his birthday... I've got the flying saucers, chocolate mice, glacier mints and jelly beans so far.... Need to find the hamper post to find the rest of the things I need. I think liquorice wands was one and strawberry laces...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

a B & M bargins opened near me at the weekend so somewhere else to investigate this week, are they a good place??
thanks everyone and keep posting those photos they are lovely.
I have a B & M not to far from me and I always look for things when I'm in there that I can use for fillers in baskets or anything.
I needed a cheap present for someone the other day which were all from B & M, but now I don't know weather to do identical things for an xmas gift for people I don't usually buy much for.
Bath set (plactic case, scrunchie, hand body glove, exfoliating towely thing & foot pummet) 99p
Radox Muscle Soak & Radox Stress Relief £1.89 (came as a twin pack of same scent so split them both into 2 prezzies)
Total £2.88
Might have to rearrange the middle items somehow though before wrapping as it just doesn't seem right because of how I squeezed them all in making them cramped in the pack.O0 -
I found a great bargain in Boots yesterday which would be good for baskets. It was a Boots footcare gift bag containing, foot gel, foot cream and I think a foot scrub along with a nice foot file. It came in a nice green zip bag and was only £3.99. I priced up the items individually and they came to at least £12. I think they are clearing them as they have new gift sets in the xmas section which are much more expensive. I picked up one for a gift.0

I will have to go in the bigger Boots shop in the town next to mine looking for these things as it always has more stuff in than my boots for some reason. They better have a bargain waiting for me when I next able get there
EDIT: PS does anyone know where I can get some cheap false nails from & anything to go with? As I might be doing a sort of little bundle of things for a friend at xmas who's newly into false nails & I don't really fancy paying Boots prices as she keeps biting, wrecking them & ripping them off.O0 -
Might be worth trying Superdrug or Savers for fake nails if you have either of those stores near you0

Savers have cheap false nails and loads of cheap priced nail files etc.Got Married 16/09/11 :j0

I need some ideas please ppl
Ive been asked to make up a hamper for my mums friends nephew, he is turning 16 and all Ive been told is that he likes Lynx and Celtic FC.
So far Ive got a lynx set I picked up in Boots cheap, and 2 lynx shower gels.
Im going to try the Celtic shop today to see if I can get a mug, and maybe put some chocolates in the mug. Anyone got any other ideas???
Thanks in advance
