  • Mary - I have my own rule which is that I cant do any crafting unless the main bits of housework are done first i.e washing, ironing, hoovering. Im really good at multi tasking and am often doing two or three things at a time lol.

Down with housework! :p No - I did put on one of the threads the other day that I looked like I had been burgled! That is why I have a cleaner - she only manages to take the edge off the mess tho not resolve it... but she is still worth every penny.

OH has been a bit more helpful today - he's mown the lawn without being asked and sorted some stuff to go to the tip.;)

I've just put together a basket for a friend who has to go into hospital for a serious operation...
Teddybear which says "Feel better" on a compress on its head £3 (Dunelm) - it is leaning against basket handle in order to keep it upright - I also used a pipecleaner to keep it steady!
    sweeties £1,
    flannel 20p,
    fluffy socks £1.50 Tesco
    antibacterial hand gel 99p Wilkos
lavender candle in a tin 79p instore
Added a mini notebook and pen approx 75p
Free basket from freecycle which I wrapped a ribbon around that I already had.
    Approx £7.75 Plus handmade card

Mary, I go through phases of being on top of my cleaning and being way behind and sort of ping pong between the two. With two young boys, a very untidy husband and a cat I really don't stand much of a chance so why stress about it? My house is almost always clean enough but usually looks untidy due to the kiddies. It's a lived in house, just don't look under the beds, haven't hoovered under there for goodness knows how long ;)
