I am doing this... Have only seen star wars PJ's in Asda and I think I saw them in woolworths but they were the clone wars which is the new film out at the cinema so not sure if any good, ebay do lego star wars ones (yes I know all the right places cause my Thomas is mad on them)
As for books there is a lovely christmas book by Rod campbell (he wrote dear zoo) the book is called dear santa, we already have this so I plan to stick this in a basket so they don't get too many new things before christmas (yes I know I am cheating)
book cover looks like this
I am sticking in a couple of cups which you will already have from your santa soup. and I am also doing a bath toy (rubber duck or crayons or something similar) I also plan to put in a bath bomb (lush ickle bath bomb - my son loves these) and if I can find my list later on I will tell you the rest lol ... I have the reindeer food etc and a nice pack of biscuits for a snack before bed. will try and find my list.
Got the Star Wars pjs from Asda today - thanks Rusty! They are fab, Jack is going to LOVE themAlso ordered a santa rubber duck for the bath from ebay. Bit silly but very cute!!!

I wish I had known about ideas like this when my two were younger (they are only 7 and 10 but too old for bath toys, christmas books, etc - shame!) I think a Christmas eve basket is a fab idea. I might still do one with pjs, hot choc, dvd and popcorn.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Sounds great bunbun! I'd like that for a pressieI always buy the boys pyjamas for Xmas, it makes more sense to give them to them on Xmas Eve so they can wear them on Xmas Day whilst opening their pressies.

I'd ask how you did it, and what it looks like finished, but I'd only get confused

It took a while - I used Microsoft Publisher and just looked for pictures on Google image search that had fairly white backgrounds, moved them all around until they looked ok then saved it as a .jpg. Then opened it in Paint and tidied bits up.

Unfortunately my three were blessed with an out-&-out nutta for a motherThey're all in their twenties now, but I still get a thrill out of finding bits like this for them...Life is far too serious at the best of times--just down-right  this year--so anything to lighten the mood is more than welcome in this household :j
