rainmac, your hamper is brilliant. Could you tell me the plastic part of the coaster - does it just come apart then the aida - is that what it's called? just fit into it. It's another lovely x stitch.
savingholmes, what a thoughtful gift. Sorry your friend is not well. Hope she recovers quickly. She's going to love your present.
Housework, could you please not swear on these boards:rotfl:
Yep you're right, the coaster is plastic and in two parts, you pop in the fabric/photo whatever you have and click the back on:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
[snipped ....]
You'll have to excuse my ignorance rainmacbut where do you buy the coasters that you've put your cross stitch work in (not that I can cross stitch that well
) but they look really impressive
Can you buy kits or something? Tia x
I tend to buy blank ones from ebay (sometimes can get a real bargain!) but bought my last lot from Willow Fabrics.
I buy from Sew and So too and agree it is a fab site, next day delivery usually and sell lots of American charts that I love!!!
The 'Time For Tea' coaster I did was really easy and took about an hour all in. Got the chart from most recent Cross Stitcher magazine. PM me if you'd like a copy, it couldn't have been simpler to stitch honest!!! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Oh, and does anyone get the pull bow things you mention cheaper off ebay and what size is best? As I'll get some of them to but unsure of the reasonable price as I've not bought them before.
ThanksO0 -

Thanks
I find the 50mm ones are better than the 30mm ones but I guess if you do small hampers, the 30mm ones are OK .. so it depends really on the hampers they are being used for. I prefer the sellers that let you mix and match colours too (ie. 10 pull bows for £2.25 - you choose the colours when you pay for them).
Hope that helps Sarah!0
