Hey Rusty!
I'm in Bordon which is about a 30 min drive from Portsmouth. I think I will have to wait for the Southampton Ikea to open and check it out then! I checked the Hobbycraft site and they tell me the Southampton one is closest. I think I may have to get a trip in before Christmas.
50 ish miles to your nearest ikea then (croydon)
22 miles to hobbycraft havant
39.9 miles to hobbycraft southampton
Just look on it as a day out having fun
tell your OH he can't moan

Just remind him he needs his credit card ... well after all a girl needs to stock up on the essentials and it saves a journey every week
Have fun. Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Sons will have a wash bag box filled with 'useful' smellies/shave gel/razors etc I have been buying throughout the year - these I would have to buy anyway so they will just get a bulk of them at xmas which is another parcel to open:rolleyes:
& me muvva calls it being stingey SIZE=1]sp
Aww Mary!--I didn't mean any offense! Just knowing how much you're like me, I was trying to be helpful  Are you sure we're not related? cuz I read these threads & think "oooh! never thought of that!" scribble myself a cryptic clue & then forget what my shorthand means :wall: I didn't want to be responsible for making your list grow any longer
Us Southerners are really getting short-shrift in the good deal stakes don't you think? No Poundland, Ikea, HomeBargains, Asda...the list goes on...even our local Wilkos are still selling seeds at full price
But No1 offspring has a couple of days off this week & has suggested an outing to Ikea :j --probably the one near Lakeland--another place I fancy exploring--& seeing as I'm not driving, even more :j for me! Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Well in the midst of making up nappy cakes for Saturdays stall I decided to do a twist and stop my hamper addiction having withdrawel symptons, so just quickly put together 2 hampers (new baby)
Contents:
5 x activefit nappies (size 3)
1 pair of white fluffy socks
1 vest
1 sleepsuit
1 big bottle of baby wash
1 pack of wipes
1 pair of bootees
1 teddy
should look lovely wrapped but can't wrap them just yet.

Should I add some more? or leave it as it is?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

BMF - no offence taken honest.........just my brain not being in 'understanding' mode...............and as for lists...............I seem to create my own problems there by thinking of yet more 'stuff to do/make'.............plus can't resist looking on here for yet more ideas.
Planning for Christmas this year is lasting all year long.................lol:rotfl:Mary

I think the baskets look great as they are rusty! They'd be great for people on a smaller budget next to the nappy cakes.0

Thats what I was thinking Cinny. I plan to take a whole range as I do small nappy cakes / cupcakes and my prices start from £4 upto £20 so everything stays cheap. not sure on the pricing of the basket as yet. Need to wait for OH to come home so he can sort some prices out for me
Thanks Mary the little teddys are from Asda and only £1
