    Try this link Moniker
http://organizedchristmas.com/childs-journal-jar - I'm sure there are others, maybe on the Gifts in a Jar thread. You'll have to scroll down to towards the bottom to find it but its there, along with questions to put in.
(If you google 'journal in a jar' there are quite a few links)

I've never done one but from what I can tell it basically is a jar full of questions about the person you're sending it to and they can write the answers in a journal.
I'm thinking of doing one for my teenage grandchildren.........I don;t see them often as they live with their Mum so there's a lot about them I don't know and I'd like them to write down bits of information and then give the journal back to me.
    Hope this helps

I'm hoping Moniker, that the person who gets a Journal in a Jar is encouraged to keep a diary--the Jar of questions is only there to prompt a memory or response if they get stuck with what to write.

With my SIL, she has a wealth of family history in her home & also spent a lot of time listening to the stories from her grandmother.I guess it's a way of keeping those stories alive for her own children & their cousins. Seeing as she is turning 40, there's a lot of history to record :D

I'm thinking it would be fairly easy to adapt to personal traits with this; a male version could ask about favourite footie players, first car, shaving  Or someone becoming a grandparent for the first time--does the bub behave the same way as yours did at that age, hair colour, favourite toy....MARY---don't read this post!:rotfl:

Mary, there is a QS store in Rushden - 48-50 High Street. I haven't been in a QS store before but intend going in (after seeing the boxes on here!), saw this one when looking for one near me :D
