I got an A4 hard-back note bokk & matching pen today in Wilkos & I intend doing a Journal in a Jar using a cleaned out jammie one for a 40th coming up before crimbo. Thanks for the inspiration guys:T
* My DS - I got a set of lovely stabilo fine tip pens for £3 in Tescos - still need to find a suitable book. (He really likes stationary too)
* Someone I work with is 30 soon so planning to do a 30 style hamper like some of the ones on the thread. Need to work out my list.
* Someone else I know I think will be 25 this year so I thought a journal type idea for each of them would be nice too.
* Someone else is 65 next year so thinking as well of what to do for that as it will be a massive change for her and she does not want to retire - and probably can't afford to either.
I can't see any of them being a 365 day journaller tho so planning to do it more along the lines of Cheryl Richardson's book 52 life makeovers and just put in a thought / suggestion for the week on how to make life more enjoyable.... I'll get away with smaller jars that way too!;)
* The lilac bag that I did ages ago ready for Xmas (as we do):p - I put a journal in it - so now I plan to add some journal thoughts to go with it too.
* I may also do one for the niece I am giving a craft box to. I'm sure I can find a nice book for not too many pennies or adapt one....
:j On a positive note I have finished wrapping my DD and DS presents so they are completely sorted for Xmas already! I'm hoping that that will stop me buying more. I've made a list of what's in them and taken some piccies to stop me having a peak! :rotfl: I have wrapped my god-daughter's present too.
In H&B I saw some other great offers. They had (two sided) photo snowdomes for 99p - so got a few for parents, MIL and OH. I like the idea of calendars but still pondering whether at £3.99 each they would be sufficiently appreciated. I don't have a papermill near me so would have to buy on line unless I went past one nearer the time... My MIL would love it, my M&D can be a bit funny over things like that... OH? Not sure? I think the snow dome idea tho is less intrusive and would be more appreciated... (;) and is a quarter of the price - didn't weigh with me at all that:rotfl: )
Anyway - happy bargain hunting!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
