Hey all!
Finally made up the hamper for my brother's girlfriend's 18th. I don't know if this is the final positioning of everything but thought I would share.
The hamper consists of:
Towel from Dunelm which I was given but never used
Mango and passionfruit shower gel
Mango and passionfruit body jelly
Mango bubble bath
Apricot face scrub
7 Bath bombs
Body Mop
Flannel Cupcake
In all (including cellophane and ribbon) it came to less than a tenner! Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -

I have seen the pastel colanders with words cut out in Home bargains £2.99 i think
what about matching utensils and gadgets instead of actual food - parmesan grater garlic press ,mini whisks pastry brushesand cutters etc the sort of bits no one thinks of or what about a mexican theme or a cocktail theme

Hi
I've just been to Morrisons and they are reducing various gardening bits, including a TROWEL FOR 38P
These aren't stainless steel but do have wooden handles with a softgrip sleeve.
Those any of you doing a gardening basket/trug might like to add one at this low price. keep an eye on this range - things might get cheaper!:TDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

unixgirluk wrote: »HI, starting to look at Christmas lists. For my best friend and her OH and 3 kids I normally give them a hamper (means they can try different foods without wasting money). 2 years ago I gave them a 36" cast iron wok (£3 from cash and carry) and filled it with lots of asian cooking goodies. Last year it was a oak storage box filled with Italian food goodies. Was going to stick to the food theme this year but make it foods of the world (unless anyone else has any other ideas?), putting in rice, pasta (since they are getting ridiculous) and lots of nice sauces, herbs etc. But any ideas for a cheap but strong container? Ideally something she can use again.
Home and bargains have some gorgeous metal pink or cream collenders in last week cheap about £3 i think  could you put stuff in that?they were very nice :T
or try and make a 'nappy cake ' but not nappy food..
stand all foods on a small tray or cake board and wrap kitchen towels around the sides folded nicely and wrap ribbon round the tea towel and maybe a pair of oven gloves on top or anything else you can think..you would have to look at the nappy cake threads if i am confusing you:o0 -

Unixgirluk, this is the sort of thing http://www.steelwares.in/colander.html the ones with spoons cut out are cute. But I can't find them on anyone's website - it's amazing, there were in loads of stores earlier in the year!!0
