I have been browsing this thread for a couple of weeks now, and all your baskets look lovely. I am going to do a couple for xmas, but the one that has just stood out to me is the "annoying things basket". This would be perfect for my brother who is so hard to buy for but yet into all the little gadgety things as well. Anyone have any ideas on what cheaper things I could get to put in or at least start me off. Cheers

Hawkins Bazaar has some great cheap things - like those dice that tell you if you should do the shopping, or the washing or have a glass of wine instead! They have male-oriented ones too. http://www.hawkin.com/?ppcid=Google_PPC_Brand&gclid=CJmytbOZ2JQCFQhNtAodNzFrCw They have shops around the country too.

Dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet, tried to read as many pages as i can, anyways i was looking round aldi today and found that they are doing some kind of special promotion on gardening items at the moment including some really nice little candles in buckets and other bits and pieces really cheap, thought i'd give the heads up to anyone doing a gardening themed basket! worth a look

Hi all, Just wanted to let you know for those doing a pamper hamper then Asda sell Radox bath salts in a box for 69p ... look like this

    157110518.png

Also they had their hot fudge face pack reduced to 49p from £1 This may help someone or anyone :D ... I grabbed a couple for MIL1 and my mums hamper :)

I plan to empty the boxes of salts into cello bags and tie with ribbon as I think they will look prettier :) Also made 2 flannel cupcakes one for each :)

hello all, just worked my way through this thread finally and I've got to say your baskets are all fabulous! I am so insired now and desperate to get to Wilkos and get that simpsons beer bucket!

Incidentally, I got the baskets shown before from the pier today for £3.50 but used the 20% off debenhams vouchers which is on this site somewhere so got them for £2.80-bargain! I wanted them for the pink basket as I've bought lots of strawberry themed things for SIL already:
    Boots body scrub 75p
    boots bath creme £1.00
boots pink and red cosmetics bag free with above
    boots lip gloss 75p
rimmel red and white nail varnishes £1 from poundland
heart shaped body buffer 25p from charity shop

total cost around £5 including the basket-I am so chuffed!!!

thanks again for all the inspiration

couldn't find the script ones in lakeland but noticed in ASDA they have large bright red enamelled ones for £5 and a gorgeous duck-egg blue one, similar shape & same price. Some people have said that they are only £3 in Home Bargains but don't know if you have one near you.

    .

    found this this morning :)http://www.halfcost.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=11&productId=26325&langId=-1&cache_entry=-1
eiher a blue (3 only left) or cream (5 only left) colander just £1.99! Also on the site they have a blush pink one for £2.99. Postage is £3.50 per order under £50. Don't know this company but I think someone on the Shabby Chic threads has used them.
