Hi!
I discovered at the weekend that me and the other half have been invited to my brother's girlfriend's 18th party, so I've now got to come up with a gift. However I've notice that avon have a sale and so I'm going to pick up some mango bubble bath for £1.50 some mango and passion fruit body jelly at £1.25 and some mango and passion fruit shower gel at a £1.
Was thinking of adding a flannel cupcake and a couple of other things, don't want to spend too much.
Any ideas? Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
A lot of folk are packing up mugs, but very few adding coasters--there are some really pretty &/or unusual ones around.. there's somewhere you can get photo ones done. Just thinking that with the increase in painted surfaces becoming more popular I]as in shabby chic[/I that a coaster would be a welcome addition.
Not sure what you've got in mind DdraigGoch, with a basket for the ex that is to assist with the kid's visits:think: but I would put in a couple of their favourite cd/dvds, maybe micro popcorn; a list of their favourite activities.....can you tell I have a problem getting the offspring's dad to accept "his" children have minds of their own:DFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Had a wonderful time in Ikea this morning, got loads of 'bits' for hampers such as dark brown 10cm pillar candles - 25p each (for chocolate hamper); 48 vanilla scented tealights - 50p (going to split these between several bath pamper gifts); massive plastic jar of beads - 79p (need to add some thread in different colours and perfect girl gift); superfin glass tealight holders - 29p each (not in sale), these are so pretty and come in 3 designs - perfect to go with the cheapie tealights above! :j :T:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

Just found out a friend's dad has died - it was expected because he was 94. I'd like to put a hamper together for her, it's not someone I would normally buy birthday presents or anything for but she's a lovely lady and it's her birthday in a month anyway so I think it would be a nice gesture.
She's a big gardener, I've already got the Crabtree and Evelyn gardeners soap and hand cream set from susbcribing to Easy Living, just picked up 2 garden candles and a mini watering can from the John Lewis clearance and I'm going to get some nice teas to put in with it. Any other ideas?
