Just a quick idea, ... if you go to Home Bargains they always seen to have the Dr Who action figures and various other things fairly cheap ... Maybe get them all a packet of characters each to start the box off?

Oooh look at me with my small pictures lol

Thanks Bunbun & Rainmac, he loved it, sat for ages trawling through it all ... mother in law moaned that he was pompus enough without having a lord or baron title lol

Rainmac I got the baskets from Au Naturele they were supposed to be £9.99 for 3, that was the smallest one, I used the largest on my partners hamper for fathers day and still have a middle one left. They were reduced to £6.99 but even at £10 they are a great strong basket which holds a lot of weight and a fantastic size

  • have just got in from lidls borehamwood and they have a stand with 79p stuff on it, including rolls of 500x70cm transparent foil, at first i thought it might be like a thick acetate but it turns out its actually quite thin and perfect for hampers, which i will be putting the first of together tonight for my cousins birthday, big pink mug with hot hoc sachets, mini marshmallows (from a set i broke up) a few choc bars and a pink relaxing eye mask thingy from superdrug (on sale of course) total spend prob about £4, just need soem ribbon to tie up top and a bow.

Hi Rain ... I saw them containers but thought they were quite expensive for what they are :o

However things you could put in are .... a movie rental voucher (from blockbusters maybe? or a free trial with Love film?) some popcorn (obviously) a couple of 500ml bottles of pop, some minstrels/maltesers/revels (bigger bags to share) bag of nachos? Dependant on how fast you need to wrap it and give it you could also put in a couple of small tubs of ben and jerrys which you can buy from asda :)

    Just a couple of ideas :D ...
