These websites are great - it's good to have a list all together as I tend to see a good website listed somewhere in the thread, then before I have a chance to visit it I get engrossed in the thread and lose the website! :rotfl:
I've just started a home-made hampers group on Facebook so if anyone would like to join, please do. Just search for "home-made hampers" on Facebook and it should come up.
I'm planning to do a baby hamper next for my friend who is pregnant with essentials like baby wipes etc and I'm wondering what to use as the actual "basket"? I've seen some clear plastic boxes in Poundland but they look a bit boring so i'm not sure. Any ideas?0 -
I did a small baby hamper and used a small white basket with blue gingham lining,an alternative to an actual basket could be a baby bath hth

Hello! I've done my own baskets before but just found this thread and I love it! Wondering if anyone could give me some idea?
My friend is 21 this year and for a present I think i'm going to do her a basket with 21 things in! Budget isn't too much of an issue, but I really want it to be fun and special! My friend had a baby 5 months ago and probably needs a bit of pampering.
I think I will include a bit of make-up, and smellies, but what else can I give her? I would really like a fun and functional basket, which she will be able to use again.
Thanks
Waddy xxMoney, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Matalan do some great "paper trays" which are big baskets for keeping newspapers and magazines in - they're great for using for a hamper as they have a functional use in their own right!

hey, I spotted toblerone bars in asda today for 50p (better than airport or poundland prices!) which are pretty good for chocolate hampers or for men... or just to bulk it up a bit... hope it helps xxx0

Love these paper trays bungle82!Also like the chalkboard tidy bins - you could use this for a kiddie present and write a happy birthday/xmas message on the board... http://www.matalan.co.uk/pages/product-view/004/123/5465/chalkboard-storage
