Shaz - How about a crafty hamper - print off instructions for various projects, gather together all the materials and away you go. I love this site for ideas for things to do - http://www.kidscraftweekly.com/ - just have a browse through the old newsletters and see if anything would work for him.

You could buy the odd kit to make it look 'bigger' - Boots Get Scientific and the Horrible Science ranges are great for this age, or maybe something like this if construction is the way to go - http://www.bsmd.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1 or http://www.hippychick.com/index.cfm/children/Products.List/category_id/111 (not used either - it's just what google threw up)

Thats a great idea i did make up a huge box of craft stuff last year but instructions would be a great idea i know hes short of crayons etc i may even get one of those plastic drawere sets on wheels and fill it (he will be moving to a bigger bedroom in september) the crayola ones are really expensive so i could pick up lots of bits seperately much cheaper......i love poundand!

I was going to suggest craft stuff too! I have ADD also and I loooove anything crafty- always have done. I need to see an end result immediately, so prefer easy and quick projects.

Home bargains have some fab crafty bits at the moment :) Mostly for kids, but v tempting!

Hi Shaz, Boots.com have some crafty stuff and scientific sets still on sale - don't know if any of these would be any good for your son? I bought various kits for xmas pressies a few weeks ago, great gifts for the money!!! :D

These baskets are all fantastic! I feel so inspired now. It was my birthday yesterday and my friend did me a lovely pamper basket. It was in a 'Princess' box and had a mini bottle of Baileys with a limited edition glass, some bubble bars from Lush and some chocs. So today I had a wonderful bath with my goodies (Baileys in the afternoon-very naughty!), some cheesy music on the stereo and a mag to read while I was soaking. Lovely!!!! The thought that went into making the basket was very touching. I'm already thinking about what I can do for her for christmas...

    Hi everybody

I have the task of purchasing a pressy for a work mate's 40th birthday. We are only a small group so the budget is about £30.00, but i want to make it a really special pressy and a basket/hamper will be just the thing i think.

I am a little short of time so if anybody can give me a point in the right direction for:

    baskets and
    cellophane and ribbons

I am erring toward a 'pamper' basket - she has young children and rarely gets 'me' time so i think this may just be right up her street.

Sorry if the basket and cellophane question has been asked before - i have just had a quick look through the thread and think the best place for baskets may be pundstretcher, home bargains etc - really stuck with the cellophane though.

    Thank you

:T :rotfl: Ha Ha ... I did it.... What can i put ???

Try au naturale, and poundstretcher, wilkos sometimes also have baskets as do home bargains etc ...

Cellophane can normally be bought from your local florists as can the ribbon.

    Hope this helps :)
