Hamper makers there are a few deals around, sorry info already posted.

In Hobbycraft they have rolls of cellophane on BOGOF ( buy one get one free ). Various designs, pinky flowers, white flowers, 2 easter designs & I am sure there were others, I recall red!!!! I shall double check but I think it was 10m per roll & are priced @ £1.99 per roll so definitely a bargain.

Also I did spot the bags of shredded astro turf, LOL, in Poundland BUT they also had packs of folded tissue paper in pastel shades which would go through a shredder quite easily & give you more colour variety, quantity & quality for said £1.
Obviously if you don't have a shredder the bagged stuff will suffice but consider shredding your own, you'll never buy bagged again!

Happy Mothers Day to you all, wherever you are, whomever you are with.

    Take care

After the success I had with hampers as gifts at Christmas I decided to make one for my mum for Mother's Day.

I used a basket from Wilkinson's that was £1.49, then arranged the following items in it:

Pink polka dot oven gloves (£3 @ Asda)
Trevor Sorbie gift set (£4.99 in Boots half price January sale)
Bright coloured boxed pot pourri (reduced to £1 in Asda)
Passionfruit body cream (Just 49p in Savers - and smells gorgeous!)
Bath smellies (FREE - part of a gift set I received at Xmas!)
Lip Balm (£1.19 @ Savers) in a ornamental cocktail glass (49p in M&S January sale)

    100_1936.jpg

I then cellophaned it and attached a big pink pull bow and it ended up looking like this:

Gave it to my mum yesterday and she loved it :T

I love this thread sooooooo much for all the ideas it continuously gives me!

passion8 - I'll have a look round the boards here to find a digital frame but if you do find a 'bargain' priced one can you let me know ? I just might get lost on this site -so much to look through................lol

Thanks hogshead :) The nearest hobbycraft for me seems to be Leeds, and i'm not sure but I think it'd be easier for me to get a trade card for one a bit closer, but still got a load of cellophane for now. Thanks flower hour :T ;)

I spotted the tissue paper, but put it off for now. The reason I mentioned the 'astroturf' lol, was for emergencies only, but so impressed with it that I bought some more today! :)

If you zoom in to that picture above, you might (lol) just spot where I shredded the tissue from the last GWP from Boots :D I've shredded the paper from the current GWP for the Elle Mc hampers that I was thinking of doing .....so there's a theme there somewhere :D Shred all the packaging from you know where lol, and oh got me reams of paper from a salvage job, so I'm not against it, far from it :)

But it was nice to use the prepackaged ....for a change x

    Thanks again :)

Will do mary43 :) I've seen them posted but it's like that old adage - 'Can never find it when you need it' - sort of thing ;) but I'll keep my eye out for you :)
