Definately not from Halifax. DO not click on the link and do not fill in any of the information. This is a phishing email scam and you should forward it on to the Halifax. I get about 20-30 similar emails a week and delete them all.
Please be very wary.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Quick response
Thank you for alerting us to the suspicious e-mail you have received.
Please delete the e-mail immediately without responding or visiting any website
detailed within it.
The e-mail or a website quoted within it could contain a Trojan or virus and we
strongly recommend that you run your anti-virus software to combat this. We
also suggest that you ensure your anti-virus software is up to date before
running the scan. Further guidance on security can be found by following the
links to our security section from our homepage.
A number of fraudulent e-mails are currently circulating in the UK encouraging
bank customers to visit a website where card or internet security details are
then requested. Typically these e-mails are sent randomly in large volumes and
so by chance will be received by genuine customers. The e-mail may even be
addressed to you in person; this does not mean that it is genuine and you should
still treat it as suspicious. Your name and e-mail address have not been and
would never be disclosed by us.
We never e-mail customers asking for confidential or security information. If
you are concerned that you may have divulged any details of accounts held with
us please call our Helpdesk immediately on 0845 850 0629.
If you have disclosed details relating to accounts held with other financial
organisations, then please contact their helpdesk as a matter of urgency.
