New York Bagels - pack size reduced

You're trying to find excuses to justify your use of the supermarket.
You have a local Polish corner shop, why can't you shop there?
may be the polish corner shop does not sell all the items poosticks needs. As for not driving, that isn't a problem. You can catch a bus.
do you know how often the buses run where poosticks lives? She will have to get 5 children on there as well. Do the bus have a direct route to the shops. Why do you need a trolly? Don't take the kids with you or if you must, get them to help you carry the shopping! Not hard!
May be the children are quite young and not up to carrying bags of shopping, hard enough to keep them in one group walking down a busy high street safely.
Or you want her to find a baby sitter while she does shopping for a few hours. That make the 50p a extra for a loaf even better value.
Basically your suggesting Poosticks go from probably taking around 90 minute shop including getting there for eg £70. now to around 90 minutes of travel, 50 minutes walking between all the shops and another 90 minutes of shopping as more queues etc which has a good chance of costing more money.
Hope poosticks can justify that to herself:rotfl:0 -
So what if the bagels have gone up in price? Prices change. <shrug> At least it is a small countable number rather than a barely perceptible volume or weight change (mind you, have you checked for that as well?)
Other supermarket rolls have gone up in price - and multi-buys have been changed - why should the New York brand remain the same?0 -
I see you have all been introduced to our new food troll/snob? The best thing to do is ignore0

Buy a breadmaker
Now that is the money saving way
Or start shopping at Lidl0 -

I do indeed shop in the Polish corner shop - but it has no fresh bread, fruit, veg or fish.
and I do travel by bus - but I personally am not prepared spend the money or more importantly the time to make one journey to my nearest bakery, a separate one to the market for fruit and veg etc.... and there simply isn't a fishmonger at all.
so I'll continue to go to the supermarket for the bits I can't get locally, thank you very much :-)0
