Tesco Finest Farmhouse Multiseed Batch Bread - £1.30 - and that's for a Finest loaf, there are cheaper options.
Bakeries are nice, but unfortunately they are not open in the evening time which is when a lot of people shop.0 -

Is it really so hard to adjust your shopping habits?
Plus, it is not just bakeries that sell bread. What about local farm shops or even corner shops that stock locally produced baked products.0 -

£1.70 is cheaper than most supermarkets.
And, for your £1.70 you are getting a fresher product, better service, better value for money and are supporting local business.
No, it isn't. The same loaf in a supermarket is £1.20. How is that better value for money?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

JUST BUY THEM FROM YOUR LOCAL BAKERY! Support local business and get fresher product, simples!
I suspect it's a bit late for this in many localities - where I live we have no bakery, butcher or greengrocer within walking distance - just a small co-op supermarket and a local Polish corner shop.
As I don't drive, what you suggest isn't so 'simples' at all !0 -
Supermarkets bosses should be hung up to dry with the bankers. The only way to get the message to them is to STOP USING SUPERMARKETS!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah Im sure Tescos wont mind me borrowing their trolley while I drag 5 kids round to the butchers, bakers, greengrocers etc,and Im quite partial to fish fingers-do the fishmongers sell them?Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -

You're trying to find excuses to justify your use of the supermarket.
You have a local Polish corner shop, why can't you shop there?
As for not driving, that isn't a problem. You can catch a bus.Yeah Im sure Tescos wont mind me borrowing their trolley while I drag 5 kids round to the butchers, bakers, greengrocers etc,and Im quite partial to fish fingers-do the fishmongers sell them?
Why do you need a trolly? Don't take the kids with you or if you must, get them to help you carry the shopping! Not hard!0
