  • I would find it a bit sleazy and I would probably feel quite uncomfortable at work. It's a professional situation, why bring looks into it?

I note the OP has gone quiet. Not the answer he was looking for?

am still here, just been busy, I don't work in a office enviroment at all, i work in quite a fun warehouse where there's banter and flirting going on all day, I believe the women I've approached are generally flattered by the attention judging by the smiles i get;)

I love compliments and if someone said I was pretty I'd be flattered and I give compliments to men.

As an example, I saw a man on the bus yesterday who I only know slightly - he shaved his head a short while ago (and I hate it when men do this) Well, it's growing back and is getting long and curly and I told him how much I liked his hair now.

I do the same with women, told a shop assistant today how nice her dress was.

    Both accepted the compliments well.

But women don't usually tell a man he's handsome, or sexy - what is the equivalent of pretty for a man anyway? It's all in the eye of the beholder, anyway - I've found many a man to be gorgeous to me that other people don't see in the same way ;)

don't even go there - not worth the complaint, disciplinary & potential for severe grief, it's a workplace, not a dating agency, you can think that she looks pretty but ultimately it's not advisable to say anything.

Why did you ask for opinions if you're sticking to your original thoughts anyway? Just curious - has someone taken offence?

You have approached women and told them that they are gorgeous?

You may not be 'busy' for much longer the way you are headed.

They are smiling because when the job cuts come, they will make a complaint and it will be you out of the door and not them. Women [Polish or otherwise] aren't a dumb as you evidently think they are.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Is it wrong for a man to tell a woman she's pretty in the workplace nowadays?

I work with alot of pretty polish girls and can't help myself in complementing them:p

    opinions pls?

I dont know about that, the Polish women are ALL gorgeous!!!!!, blonde hair/blue eyes:p

You asked, so from what you have said, you sound a bit sleazy to me. You 'can't help yourself' and you like the blonde hair and blue eyes. I wonder if they just tolerate your unwanted advances. Have any of these women flirted with you?
