I don't like the phrase 'Can't help yourself' Such a comment is inappropriate in the workplace, and you had better learn to help yourself. Or say it only to women senior to yourself so that they can put you in your place. To know someone well and admire a particular new piece of clothing is somewhat different, although rather a girly thing to do.0

"can't help myself" sounds very creepy to me. I'd be offended. I would wish you had kept your gob shut.
They are all gorgeous? You do sound like a massive creepoid, sorry.

Sounds to me like you are telling them they are all pretty and you may possibly be hoping that one of them bites?
Your personal opinion of how your female colleagues look physically should really be kept personal to you in the workplace. It could come across like you're on the prowl at work, which is inappropriate. I think it's fine if you take a liking to someone in the workplace, and it's handled correctly and respectfully, but going from one to the other because you 'can't help yourself', just makes you sound a wee bit smarmy...sorry OP.0 -
Complements are always nice, I dont see how it is at all inappropriate.Shut up woman get on my horse!!!0

Hmm, if you worked at my workplace based on what you've posted so far I'd be thionking you're a smarmy creep...sorry! Fair enough if it was just one particular girl that you particularly liked and weren't making her feel uncomfortable, but it's likely that you are given what you've posted.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

In the workplace, no I don't think it's appropriate. If you meet up socially after work then it's OK, I guess - just as long as you're not looking down their tops at the time...0

Yes, its inappropriate, particularly if they are not on the same grade as you or do not feel able to tell you to leave them alone. I think a little growing up is needed.LBM-2003ish

Telling women you work with that they're pretty ? Would you tell the ugly ones that they're ugly?
What's in it for you ? Apart from a slap..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
If someone says I look nice 'today' it always makes me feel like I look a scruff all the rest of the time!
Haha at least it's not just me :rotfl:
I usually counter it with 'well you don't have to sound so surprised'
which usually makes people get a bit flustered cos they think they've upset you
