Hello,
They contacted me on Monday - I stupidly gave them the details even theough every part of me was screaming STUPID. although I agreed a date for the 31st as teh girl told me that theloan would definately gone through by then.
She told me a number of lies, firstly that the loan was guarenteed, that the fee was only on sucessful reciept of teh loan, and that I could call and cancel everything (on teh number that never answers!)
I check the T&C as soon as i got off the phone and promptly cancelled my card and ordered a replacement from my bank.
Do you think i am safe?
I am writing tot hem at both the customer service and the head office addresses informing them that they no longer have permission to take the fee on the 31st (not thta card has been cancelled)
I am so cross with myself. I did the search just for a repayment calculation via the autotrader site - you would think they would take a bit more care.0 -

I wouldn't be surprised if they've already taken payment... or at least attempted to. If not, as you authorised the payment before you lost your card, they may still be able to take it anyway.
Interestingly, More Financial hides behinds a string of accommodation addresses and their Internet domain name is registered to a UK Individual rather than a company.0 -
Hi all
Applied for a loan last night through moneysupermarket.com and was contacted by them today, unfortunatly couldnt hear the whole conversation due to backround noise at work, but it all seemed legit, told the loan had been approved blah blah blah
Gave them my debit card number and thought all would be fine
Came home and saw the email, clicked the link but decided not to sign it online thankfully, and now I found this on here
Already rang the bank to cancel my card and theyve told me that they could end up taking the payment anyway even with a new card, but i'm hoping not
I know I was stupid doing it, but just wondering has anyone ever got sorted out because of it? or will I end up loosing the £69.50?0 -

If the money does go out of your bank account, write to them immediately by recorded delivery, telling them they gave you incorrect information and that unless you receive a full refund you will report them to both the FSA and OFT.
If you report them, it will cost them more than refunding you the money."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

My bank said that i'd have to contact their fraud department if the money does go out to More Financial after writing to them, then i'd have to contact them and send them any letters etc that i'd sent to More Financial, and if they couldnt get in contact or the refund then i'd still be out of pocket0 -

Hi everyone had the same problem with this company took £69.50 from my bank a/c, on speaking to the bank they said that I have to wait 15 days before they could do anything and give me my money back. and if the money is not claimed within 5 days it is returned to my account. Also reported this firm to Action Fraud who said that they would investigate.
I like many of you I phoned and phoned left messages and guess what no replies what a surprise, so will be more careful from now on.0 -
