I urge people NOT to ever use this site.
Currently my sister is away on holiday with Express Bookers, turned up at the hotel only to find the room to be cancelled and that they then had to pay for a room themselves.
i contacted Express Bookers only to be told, they had paid the spanish and portuguese agents 2 days too late and so they have cancelled the contract with express bookers (and rooms) all over the MED, leaving holidaymakers stranded (not sure why they were that honest with me on the phone).
After numerous phone calls and being told they will call me back (which they never do), my sister is still 710 euros out of pocket and with no refund being offered by express bookers.
They keep promising to call back and a offer of a refund and still nothing, i even told them my sister was stranded on holiday with no holiday money but they are still not bothered.
as it stands today, 15-20 phone calls have been made by me and my sister and still nothing..
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont book with them!0 -
I arrived today (15th July 2012) in Lanzarote for a 2 week break and when i got to the appartment i was told that express bookers HAVE gone into LIQUIDATION and had not paid for the appartment. i had to pay the appartment using my credit card direct as they would not let me have the appartment until it had been paid. I did not get an email before i left or any kind of warning, just a huge bill for 3 people. I am so lucky that my credit card had enough to cover the cost or we would be spending the next two weeks on the streets. This cheap(ish) holiday has turned into a very expensive one as i have now paid double for the appartment. what would have happened if i had NO credit card i just dont know.0

I have used them and would strongly advise people to STEER CLEAR OF EXPRESS BOOKERS. Although we received our hotel voucher suggesting our booking was confirmed we discovered a couple of days before travelling (we happened to ring the hotel directly to get some info about the hotel) that the hotel knew nothing of our booking. It took on average a half hour to get through to their "customer service" number, which we had to ring several times. They eventually told us to ring a number on the Isle of Man, which took even longer to get through to. Then it turned out that EB couldn't deal directly with the problem - they had to contact their regional director (by email - for some reason they couldn't phone him) who then had to contact their local agent who then contacted the hotel. It took more than a day for the hotel to be contacted. EB kept saying they would ring us back "within the hour", "by the end of the day", etc. but they never did. We did get hotel rooms in the end but one was inferior to the one we booked, and the stress in advance of the holiday was enormous. This company does not deserve to be in business.0

I'm in exactly the same boat,recieved email saying money would be re funded,nothing has been yet another lump some has been withdrawn,don't know if our accomoon or flights are booked and paid for now and don't know which way to trun as we;re being offered no explanation via email,and it clearly states agents will not be able give give advice
.Very worried now.

Just been intouch with the aftersales team,apparently all sums paid between may and july 2012 we're being held in a bank account due to unforseen problems,the bank have now released these funds and they are re funding the amount for there sister company Click lettings to re take,however Click Lettings have indeed withdraw another lump sum without any funds being refunded,they have assured me the sum should have been re payed and are looking into it,what response i get if any i will re-post,really not happy that these people are allowed to access my bank account and take out funds that have already been paid.
Very eager to take not so eager to give it back though.

In response to the above,i have now been informed as follows " We have had notification from the bank that instead of the refunds taking 24/48hrs to be refunded back into your account as they had advised this has now taken 5 days.Unfortunately due to this delay we had waited only 48hrs and we re-took the payment the bank have assured us that they are working to re-fund as soon as possible"

Although this website has made it clear they have been in difficulty for some time, the failure today means that those awaiting tickets or confirmations can now move ahead. They were members of ABTA (30 Park Street, London SE1, claims department 01243 218 412 ) and had an ATOL logo on the website even though they do not appear to have had an ATOL licence at all. This means that ABTA should pay out if you paid in cash, cheque or debit card but they are likely to advise you to make a claim against a credit card if you used that to pay.
On the face of it there are a lot of questions to be asked, I am sure the company used to be based in Central London but they seem to have moved to the Isle of Man......0
