Express Bookers

I found this post whilst doing a google search on expressbookers atol licence i was trying to find out about their validity before making a booking. The above posts confirmed my suspicion’s so thanks for all the info, I also checked out their atol licence here and it seems they have not sold any holidays with atol protection at all? I emailed atol to clarify the position and they said “The company is licensed to sell up to 500 flight packages a year” and that was all.
Anyway as they say let the buyer beware so I will not be booking with expressbookers and have managed to find my holiday with another company which gave me peace of mind and are fully atol protected.
Hope this helps

Just to clarify, should anyone be thinking to book with Express Bookers - please see the Civil Aviation Authority website, they show a list of people no longer holding an ATOL licence, Express Bookers no longer have an ATOL licence from April 2012. Also I would be wary of this company, I have friends who own holiday apartments in Greece, Express Bookers failed to pay my friends the agreed amount on their contract one summer so they took Express Bookers to court in the UK last September (2011). They won the case but Express Bookers wont pay up! Maybe they are about to go bust or they just dont have the money, but basically my friends worked their apartments for free that year! Apparently they owe other accommodation owners money too! I have seen the County court judgement so beware!!. I dont think its fair that we pay a travel agent money for our holiday accommodation, but the travel agent doesnt then pass the money on to the accommodation owners. I also think that Express Bookers make a mockary of our legal system by ignoring a county court judgement...so moneysavingexperts...save your money and dont book with Express Bookers!!0

Expressbookers going into liquidation?
I have just signed up to inform other people about expressbookers just so glad i googled expressbookers before booking with themi found this forum and others like it on trip adviser which did not hold them in a good light and i discovered that expressbookers are going into liquidation you can see the details foryourself if you google "expressbookers liquidation" it is the one showing at the top of the results page that mentions ROGER HARPER sorry i am not allowed to post the link on here, this only happened a few weeks ago but there website is still showing?
On the bottom of their website it says "Travel Experts LTD 1st Floor 11 Malew Street, Castletown, Isle of Man" maybe they have changed the company name or expressbookers ltd is another company but it does seem strange how they are both in the isle of man
Something does not seem right with this company my husband allways said i am good at sniffing out a rat!!!
Be careful out there, Karen0 -
