It doesn't matter how good your Dell is, the OPs is useless and the service from dell sounds atrocious.
How did you figure that out?
No one else has posted on this thread today apart from the OP, whom I suspect does not harbour any great fondness for DELL;)0 -

Haha thanks for bringing that to my attention . . . you could have just corrected for me:o
Seems to be a lot of Dell lovers about[STRIKE] today[/STRIKE].

is that better? :beer:0 -
is that better?
Not a lot. It's already been established that OP is, to put it mildly, less than satisfied with Dell and that there are other posters who have not had a problem with machine or service. I fall into that second category. Do you think only people who have found Dell not very good should comment on this thread? I would have thought a balance was a good idea personally.0 -

It doesn't matter how good your Dell is, the OPs [STRIKE]is useless and the service from dell sounds atrocious[/STRIKE] experience should instantly negate the experiencess of many others which has been fine. As it sounds atrocious (note "sounds" - I have no actuall experience) I will treat the OP as my guru for all buying decisions regardless of any other eviddence
There you go, FIFY!
I'm not suggesting the OP hasn't had a poor deal off Dell, but he's also not helped himself. Hey Ho!0 -
As said further up the thread, this is a customer service situation rather than a techie problem.
Don't buy a ******** (insert your own pet hate).
Move along, nothing to see.0 -
I never understand why people mess about with these customer service problems, simply put in writing what's wrong with your purchase, ask them to explain what they are going do to put it right, remind them that if it was faulty at the time your brought it that you are rejecting the item and want a full refund of all costs, within 14 days. Otherwise you will issue a County Court judgement. Send letter by recorded delivery, keep a copy and then sue the duckers!!!!My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
;discussion/3090488]There is, apparently, no complaint department anywhere in the world for Dell - the website address only gives the phone number for tech support, so I thought I'd express my dissatisfaction about not having someone to send a letter to by plastering it over the internet instead! If you're looking for a horror story on why NOT to buy from Dell, read on...

Hi there. I like Dell but dont work for them but im really surprised to read that you didnt find a number for customer service support. Im taking it that in your frustration you were not looking properly at all. I found this web page within 3 second from Google search

OP...In addition to the previous posting, you could also try escalating and complaining to Josh Claman, Dell UK General Manager, via sending him an email to josh_claman@dell.com or to Michael Dell, Dell CEO, via sending an email to michael@dell.com.
Good luck and hope this helps.0 -
