Don't agree with the title thread. Have bought Dell twice for me and twice for others. No problems with any of them (they were new not refurbs). Efficient delivery. Worked out of the box. Reasonable cost.I am sure there are some who have not found that including OP, there always are with any company.
Couldn't agree more, Perhaps changing the thread title would be better, something like I have a problem with aftersales and then explain , however "Don't Buy a Dell" si asking for trouble, I once bought a Dell it has been excellent , for my sins I bought it from PC World (yeah I know, had vouchers from work, and the price was good).
Now chill , sun's out here, and have a good weekend.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed 5.07 + Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

I'd be interested to know what was the real purpose of the original post:
- Just to say at considerable length that you were unhappy with your own experience of Dell?
- To ask for practical suggestions about how you could improve matters with Dell?
- To try to prevent anyone ever again buying any Dell equipment?
With any company you care to name, there will always be some customer who is aggrieved with the service that they have received, whether this is justifiable or unjustifiable. You may be familiar with the expression: "hard cases make bad law."
It's really down to whether the mass of people have broadly positive or broadly negative experiences, and it would seem that you fall near the edges of this continuum.0 -
Stalwart eh? I'm liking that. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

So far bought 3 Dells refurbished over the last 4 years. 2 worked out of the box, the 3rd(mine of course) went back 3 times and had an engineer sent to sort it. Been working for 2 yrs now without a blip. Some people are just plain unlucky whilst most others get just what they want.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I sell dell, been honest they are well overpriced. Reconditioned are customer returns within 30 days normaly, or arriving DOA. Half the time they will rush to check and no detect the fault, on the otherhand the harddrive could of suffered shock in transit.0

Most of the used laptops I sell are Dell Inspiron range because they simply don't go wrong. I sell so many I should rename my business Dell Boy :rotfl::rotfl:
Hammy he was PPR'd , sorry my mistake that was Dell Mann

There's absolutely no doubt that the vast vast majority of Dell Outlet machines are fine in every way - I've had machines from there before which have been fine, and I know of friends with Outlet laptops that they're thrilled to bits with. I wasn't suggesting that large amounts of faulty machines are sold, I was saying that those that are faulty have shockingly poor post-sales support

OP, why have you persisted with this situation? Perhaps a phone call to your credit card provider pointing out that they are just as liable as Dell in this situation. Ask them to refund your money and let them deal with Dell.'Parking tickets' issued by Private Parking Companies are not 'parking tickets' at all. They are unenforceable invoices as stated by MSE head Martin Lewis recently on TV.
My family and friends now know what's going on in private car parks and motorway services areas. :T

I can see why it might look perverse, but honestly I feel a bit railroaded into fighting it out to the bitter end. It's because taking a refund from any source means I'm out of pocket a monstrous amount of cash - I've got to get a laptop now so I can say to myself 'well yep it caused no end of grief, but at least I got a 600 machine for 400!0
